Patent number: 11871909Abstract: An orthotic device for treating microstomia is described that includes a U-shaped rod, a pair of conformers, and a spring coiled around the rod, positioned between the conformers. The rod includes a curved portion between two straight arms and is sized to accommodate the subject's head. The pair of conformers each include a labial hook and a pair of through holes for receiving the U-shaped rod. The U-shaped rod is smooth through holes of each conformer positioned at the curved portion proximate to a corresponding one of the straight arms. The labial hooks each curve away from the curved portion towards one of the straight arms of the U-shaped rod. During use the labial hooks are inserted in the subject's mouth to engage one of the opposing labial commissures of the mouth. A compression of the spring applies a force to the labial commissures via the conformers.Type: GrantFiled: August 11, 2020Date of Patent: January 16, 2024Assignee: The Aga Khan UniversityInventors: Syed Murtaza Raza Kazmi, Farhan Raza Khan

Patent number: 10146876Abstract: A system and method for predicting a real-time change in an organic search ranking of a website is disclosed. The present invention provides a statistical model and a simulation interface capable of predicting a real-time change in an organic search ranking of a website. The system identifies one or more variables impacting the organic search ranking of a website and assigns an individual score to each variable. The system further enables the user to make modifications in the one or more variable and to visualize the real-time change in ranking by correlating an overall score with the actual organic search ranking.Type: GrantFiled: May 12, 2015Date of Patent: December 4, 2018Assignee: IQUANTI, INC.Inventors: Ajay Kumar Rama, Ranjet Behera, Haider Raza Khan

Patent number: 10078896Abstract: A processing system for and a method of segmenting a physiological image is provided. Once the physiological image is received, extrinsic data defining extrinsic regions is further received. Additionally, intrinsic data defining at least one intrinsic region, each intrinsic region corresponding to one extrinsic region is received. A primary modification is performed, where a shape and size of at least one extrinsic region having a corresponding intrinsic region is modified based on a shape and size of the corresponding intrinsic region, to form a modified extrinsic data. The physiological image is segmented into segmented regions based on the modified extrinsic data, each segmented region which has a corresponding intrinsic region representing a primary modification based on the corresponding intrinsic region.Type: GrantFiled: September 28, 2017Date of Patent: September 18, 2018Assignee: SYNAPTIVE MEDICAL (Barbados) Inc.Inventors: Kelly Noel Dyer, Ali Raza Khan
