Abstract: A feeding system for a neonate is provided that includes a fluid reservoir adapted to contain fluid to be provided to the neonate, a nipple in fluid communication with the fluid reservoir having at least one fluid outlet adapted to enable the neonate to take the fluid therefrom by mouth and a control system adapted to automatically maintain the pressure in the fluid reservoir substantially neutral relative to the pressure external to the fluid outlet as the fluid is taken by the neonate. The feeding system may also include a heating system adapted to warm the fluid and to automatically maintain the temperature of the fluid in the reservoir at a temperature near the body temperature of the neonate as the fluid is provided to the neonate.

Abstract: An infant pacifier assembly including an infant pacifier and an attachment device that is attached to the pacifier. The attachment device has a clip that enables it to be readily affixed to the clothing of an infant so as to secure the pacifier and retain in a convenient location and prevent the pacifier from dropping to the floor. The attachment device has an outer surface for attaching an object thereto, such as a decorative button, preferable by a hook and loop securing system. The decorative button had a decorative design and there may be a plurality of buttons having different decorative designs that the caregiver can select and affix to the attachment device as desired.

Abstract: An infant pacifier having a uniquely configured guard assembly for engaging the infant's face to effectively prevent the pacifier from being accidentally swallowed or inhaled by the infant, while at the same time permitting free passage of nasogastric tubing. The guard assembly includes a generally U-shaped body having a front surface, a back surface, a generally rounded bottom portion and a concave upper portion, which permits passage of the nasogastric tubing. The infant pacifier also includes a nipple extending outwardly from the front surface of the guard, the nipple having an axial centerline concentric with said rounded bottom portion of the guard.
