Patent number: 12280199Abstract: A method of operating a waste collection unit including a light assembly separate from a display panel. A vacuum level of the vacuum drawn on a waste canister is measured with a vacuum sensor. The light assembly positioned adjacent a manifold receiver is operated to selectively emit light of a color based on the measured vacuum level. A commanded vacuum level may be received on the display panel, and a colored image indicative of a commanded vacuum level may be displayed on the display panel. The waste collection unit may include plural manifold receivers each configured to receive a manifold. The light assembly that is adjacent the manifold receiver corresponding to the waste canister into which the vacuum is being drawn may be operated to selectively emit light to emit light at different colors or different patterns based on the operating state of the waste collection unit.Type: GrantFiled: August 18, 2022Date of Patent: April 22, 2025Assignee: Stryker CorporationInventors: Brian J. Patent number: 12280198Abstract: An autonomous medical waste collection assembly. A base supports a waste canister in fluid communication with a manifold receiver, and a suction pump. A controller is in electronic communication with a powered wheel and configured to transmit a movement signal for a motor to power the powered wheel to move the assembly along a floor surface. The assembly may be operable in an autonomous mode in which the powered wheel automatically moves the assembly along the floor surface, and a manual mode in which resistance from the powered wheel is negated to provide for manual movement of the assembly. The controller may be further configured to steer the assembly based on a current location input signal, and a disposal location input signal from a locator network within the medical facility that is indicative of a location of a disposal station.Type: GrantFiled: August 18, 2022Date of Patent: April 22, 2025Assignee: Stryker CorporationInventors: Stephen J. Patent number: 12266236Abstract: A system for the detection of money laundering activities involving casino slot machines and Video Lottery Terminals (collectively “VLTs/Slot Machines”) using an executable copy of security software installed individually at each participating VLT/Slot Machine. The security software monitors cash in/plays/and cash out on all connected VLTs/Slot Machines. The security software contains an artificial intelligence module that flags “suspicious activity” at all connected VLTs/Slot Machines and keeps an audit trail. The security software will disable/track TITO serial numbers/barcodes of all TITOs printed from VLTs in “silent alarm mode”. TITO serial numbers/barcodes printed in “alarm mode” need to be redeemed at the cashier's cage and will not work in an automated redemption kiosk or Ticket Redemption Unit, and the cashiers are forewarned to require positive identification and complete a Suspicious Activity Report (SARC).Type: GrantFiled: December 13, 2022Date of Patent: April 1, 2025Inventors: Robert L. Patent number: 12263965Abstract: A frangible manifold is used in connection with flight termination operations and stage separation. The manifold has a first portion and a second portion separated by a frangible portion. An aperture extends through the first, second and third sections. A first ordnance termination line is positioned in at least the first section of the first portion of the manifold. A second ordnance termination line is positioned in at least the second section of the second portion of the manifold. In the event of a flight termination, detonation of one ordnance line causes detonation of the second ordnance line. In the event of stage separation, the manifold splits at the frangible portion and the two ordnance lines are safely separated.Type: GrantFiled: September 14, 2022Date of Patent: April 1, 2025Assignee: United Launch Alliance, L.L.C.Inventors: Zachary Scott Reasoner, Tyler Mundt
