  • Publication number: 20190298092
Abstract: A holder for the secure transport and storage of various types of protective headgear that maintains secure support and retention of the headgear while protecting the brim. The device is versatile; it is adjustable, mountable, and portable; of sturdy construction, yet economical to produce. The device includes a self-contained mounting plate for permanent mounting on surfaces such as a wall or trailer rib. It has no moving parts with the exception of an included removable, swivel-able hook, which allows for multiple hanging options such as from a peg, a clothing rod, the pole of a vehicle headrest, the back edge of a chair, and door and cabinet knobs. The device includes an area configured to securely hold other items simultaneously while also holding headgear. The device supports headgear conveniently in positions of easy access, and allows for one-handed operation of both insertion and removal of the headgear when secured to a fixed element.

  • Publication number: 20130108743
Abstract: A brittle having a base made from a batter containing a ratio of 1:1.5 to 3:1 weight chocolate to weight of syrup in the base has distinctive properties. There is in the batter a thickening agent which is usually flour or corn starch. Various additions such as nuts, candy chips and dried fruits may be incorporated in the batter or placed on the base.

  • Patent number: 7903239
Abstract: The invention includes sensors and sensing methods for determining cell morphology and/or chemical composition of an analyte. A porous substrate exhibiting a first optical signal is exposed to a target analyte and subsequently monitored for changes in the optical signal. More specifically, a photonic or porous substrate having a well-defined and highly tunable reflectivity or transmission spectrum, such as porous silicon (Si), porous alumina, porous Ge, porous GaAs, porous SiO2 and porous polymer, is used for example. A porous or photonic substrate is exposed to an analyte, such as a cell or other macromolecule, and changes in the scattered light are observed over time to determine cell morphology and/or chemical composition of the analyte using the substrate.
