  • Patent number: 11450190
Abstract: A proximity detection apparatus for avoidance of nearby subjects includes an article, a detector, an alert device and a controller. The article is for a user. The detector is configured to generate a detected value in response to sensing infrared radiation emitted from a subject in a vicinity of the article. The alert device is configured to generate an alert in response to a control signal. The controller is in communication with the detector and the alert device. The controller is configured to set a first predetermined value associated with a proximity condition of an unacceptable proximity range, configured to determine when the detected value exceeds the first predetermined value, and generate the control signal to the alert device to present the alert to inform the user that the subject is within the unacceptable proximity range.

  • Patent number: 10876676
Abstract: Systems and methods for switching tools in an enhanced ring assembly of a gimbal. One embodiment is a gimbal that includes an outer ring and an inner ring. The outer ring is attached to an arm and includes a first hinge to open and close the outer ring, and also a first latch to fasten the outer ring in a closed position. The inner ring is rotatably supported within the outer ring and includes a second hinge to open and close the inner ring, and a second latch to fasten the inner ring in a closed position.

  • Publication number: 20200039060
Abstract: An adjustable support device for providing support to a worker oriented facedown thereon for accessing a lower work area disposed lower than the worker, such as one that the worker needs to extend out over in order to access appropriately. The adjustable support device includes a main support assembly and a leg support section pivotally coupled to the main support assembly. The leg support section may be pivoted to be angled upward. The main support assembly includes a midsection support and a chest support slidably mounted to the midsection support for movement along the longitudinal axis relative to the midsection support. A frame may be provided, and the midsection support may be angled upward relative to the frame. The adjustable support device provides ergonomic support to a worker so that the worker is supported over the lower work area in a cantilever fashion. Related methods are disclosed.
