  • Publication number: 20230127347
Abstract: Provided is an anti-TNF-? antibody comprising a sequence modification that inhibits presentation of the antibody by human leukocyte antigen (HLA) molecules. The anti-TNF-? antibody may be infliximab or a fragment or variant thereof. In this case, the modification is suitably one that inhibits presentation of the antibody by DRB1*03:01, such as a modification in the region corresponding to residues 1 to 21 of SEQ ID NO: 1, or a modification in the region corresponding to residues 145 to 159 of SEQ ID NO: 1. Alternatively, the anti-TNF-? antibody may be adalimumab or a fragment or variant thereof. In this case, the modification may be one that inhibits presentation of the antibody by DQA1*05:05/DQB1*03:01. Also provided are nucleic acid sequences that encode an antibody according to the invention, and pharmaceutical composition comprising an antibody or nucleic acid sequence of the invention.
