    Abstract: The disclosure provides method and device using a whole genome association analysis toolset for a total stroke case, versus a control group, which demonstrated significant associations with p less than 1.00E.03 for 5 genes, including polymorphisms in MTHFR, MTRR, and BHMT. These gene polymorphisms in MTHFR may remove or create intron and exon splice enhancer sites that affect alternative splicing activity as well as appropriate mRNA and protein production.
