    Abstract: A method and system that allows a user to create patterns for removable furniture covers employs a data input device to trace a piece of furniture. The data input device is traced over predetermined areas of the furniture known to those in the art of furniture cover design. The data input device transfers the trace data to a processor that renders an image of the traced portion of the piece of furniture. The processor permits the user to print off, or output to a cutter, appropriately shaped working patterns to cover the predetermined areas, and to assemble a removable furniture cover or slipcover for the piece of furniture.
