  • Patent number: 8419418
Abstract: An injection mould for injection moulding an article having a base and a sidewall, the injection mould comprising: first and second mould parts which are adapted to be connected together in a closed configuration so as to define a mould cavity there between, the mould cavity having a base portion and a sidewall portion, an injector for injecting into the mould cavity molten material to be moulded into the article, at least one portion of one of the first and second mould parts being movable when the first and second mould parts are in the closed configuration so as to vary the volume of the mould cavity, an actuator for selectively moving the at least one portion of one of the first and second mould parts in first and second directions so as to increase and reduce, respectively, the volume of the mould cavity.

  • Patent number: 5964037
Abstract: A set of hair cutting blades, for use with an electric buzzer, comprising at least one upper blade and at least one lower blade. The upper blade has a plurality of upper teeth, and has a short side and a long side. The upper teeth vary in length such that they gradually increase in length between the short side and the long side. The upper teeth also vary in height such that they gradually increase in height between the short side and the long side. The lower blade has lower teeth which are uniform in both length and height. The upper blade is mounted to the buzzer directly over the lower blade and the blades are reciprocated against each other to create a cutting action. By a preferred embodiment, left and right facing upper blades are provided which form a mirror image of each other such that among both of said blades the short side and long side are reversed.

  • Patent number: 5941112
Abstract: A tubular member is manufactured in a hydroforming and hydroshearing apparatus. A substantially right circular cylindrical workpiece is placed in a die and pressurized to hydroform a substantially rectangular tubular product. The workpiece is presheared during the pressurization period and is fully sheared during the withdrawal of a plurality of plunger members while the internal pressure is maintained. The plunger members are positioned in the die by respective power cylinders which control the withdrawal thereof.

  • Patent number: 5747002
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method for the preparation of sodium chloride formulations having a substantially uniform particle size suitable to ensure the dispersible properties for inhalation into the lungs of a subject. The formulations thus prepared are also the subject of this disclosure. The method involves jet milling coarse sodium chloride in one or preferably two or more procedures using air pressure suitable to produce particles having a significant fraction that are less than about 7 microns in size. Immediately following the milling, the particles are vacuum dried in an oven using a temperature and time suitable to cure the product to prevent substantial aggregation over time.
