Abstract: A seal assembly is provided that includes an elastomeric portion; a primary extrusion barrier which reinforces the elastomeric portion; and a secondary extrusion barrier disposed between the elastomeric portion and the primary extrusion barrier to prevent entry of the elastomeric portion into open areas in the primary extrusion barrier.

Abstract: Apparatuses and methods allow a downhole anchor device to be cut, released, and retrieved using a single one-trip cutter and removal assembly. The assembly preferably includes a cutter head recessed behind an anchor latch. The latch is landed to the anchor device to be removed and the cutter head is extended therefrom and activated. Once cut by the cutter head, the anchor device is retrieved upon a distal end of the assembly.

Abstract: A container closure which indicates the number of times which a container is opened comprises a counting screw cap for a container three members arranged for rotation relative to one another, the first member threadedly engaging the neck of the container, the second member being arranged to be manually grasped for removing the cap from the container, there being provided a lost motion drive between the first and second members so that the second member is enabled to rotate through a predetermined angle in each direction without causing rotation of said first member while rotation of the second member beyond the predetermined angle causes rotation of the first member to screw the latter onto, or remove it from, the neck of the container.

Abstract: A "transferred arc" plasma torch is mounted on a lathe tool post for the purpose of heating a workpiece by directing an ionised gas on it. The torch is spaced a fixed amount from the workpiece for operation but is movable to a further temporary position closer to the workpiece to facilitate initial striking of an electrical arc between the workpiece and itself.
