  • Patent number: 5299590
Abstract: This invention relates to a multi purpose and multi positional outdoor shelter or shade. The shelter is self supporting and free standing with a maximum of three (3) flexible rods held in compression by a fabric covering held in mutual tension by said flexible rod members. The structure is also lightweight, easily erected and collapsed for portage.

  • Patent number: 4969631
Abstract: An electric leveling and stabilizing jack for recreational vehicles having a vertical ground-engaging position and pivotable to a horizontal stowed position. The jack has a rigid double retraction arm which is connected on one end to a retraction sleeve and at the other end to a U-shaped housing for the motor and gear assembly. The jack has telescoping tubular members, the inner member being connected to the footpad and an expandable boot connecting the footpad to the retraction sleeve.

  • Patent number: 4635904
Abstract: A leveling jack mounted on the frame of a vehicle with a horizontal stowed position and a vertical actuated position, including, a pair of telescoping tubular members, telescoping between open and closed position, a ball screw actuator including a ball member and a screw member supported within the tubular members and with one of the tubular members attached to the ball member for producing telescope movement of the one tubular member relative to the other tubular member in accordance with longitudinal movement of the ball member, a drive spindle coupled to the screw member for providing rotational movement of the screw member to produce longitudinal movement of the ball member, a motor and associated gear train coupled to the drive spindle and with the gear train providing a substantial reduction of speed of rotation of the drive spindle, an outer housing for mounting on the frame of the vehicle and with the tubular members, ballscrew actuator, drive spindle and motor and gear train forming a pivotable porti

  • Patent number: 4473214
Abstract: A massive crane luffing jib is held and loaded under compression atop the main crane boom such as a hydraulically extensible and retractable telescopic boom whose sections may be locked for safety. The luffing jib is pivoted to an adapter atop the boom to enable swinging the jib to a stowed position close to and along the front side of the boom. First, second and third masts are pivotally attached to the jib base section. The second and third masts are connected by foldable tension links. An upper foldable ladder in the pendant line between the point of the jib and bridle assembly forms a hard connection between the first and second masts. A lower foldable ladder including a gooseneck forms a hard connection between the second and third masts following automatic coupling of the gooseneck with the third mast after the tension link becomes fully extended.

  • Patent number: 4091935
Abstract: To facilitate transferring a massive boom assembly from a regular crane carrier vehicle to an independent transport trailer, retractable pivot pins and power means to actuate the same are provided on the boom support frame of the crane turntable. The pivot pins, when in their active positions, project through main journals on the crane boom suspension structure. Safety locking elements prevent accidental retraction of the pivot pins during normal operation of the boom on the regular carrier vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4082191
Abstract: To facilitate transferring a massive crane boom from a regular crane carrier vehicle to an independent transport trailer, pivot pins for the rear ends of boom lift cylinders are held removably in journal boxes which are recessed into the crane turntable and are normally held captive in the recesses by shiftable locking dogs adapted to be extended over the tops of the journal boxes and to be retracted therefrom. The locking dogs are operated by turntable mounted power cylinders and safety means is provided to block accidental retraction of the locking dogs during normal crane usage.
