  • Patent number: 6294269
Abstract: The invention relates to a coextrusion binder obtained by grafting a mixture of a copolymer of ethylene and of an elastomer of EPR type with an unsaturated carboxylic acid anhydride or its derivatives. The grafted mixture is optionally diluted in another copolymer of ethylene. The binder is useful in preparing polyolefin/binder/polyamide or EVOH structures.

  • Patent number: 6235361
Abstract: The present invention relates to a metal surface coated with a thermoplastic polymer, the coating exhibiting a peel strength at 130° C. (according to DIN 30 670) which is higher than 400 N/5 cm. This value can be obtained by placing between the metal and the thermoplastic a layer of epoxy resin of Tg higher than 120° C. against the metal and then a layer of polypropylene-based binder. The invention is particularly useful for coating the external surface of pipes.

  • Patent number: 6117561
Abstract: There is provided a mixture comprising: (i) a matrix A comprising a polyolefin (A1) and/or a functionalized polyolefin (A2); and (ii) a dispersed phase comprising an alloy B of polyamide (B1) having a polyamide matrix, comprising for example a polyamide (B1), a functionalized polyolefin (B2) and optionally a polyolefin (B3). A method for producing same is disclosed and comprises mixing the constituents of matrix A and a ground product of a multi-layer film comprising at least one layer of alloy B.

  • Patent number: 6087001
Abstract: The invention relates to a coextrusion binder obtained by grafting a mixture of a copolymer of ethylene and of an elastomer of EPR type with an unsaturated carboxylic acid anhydride or its derivatives. The grafted mixture is optionally diluted in another copolymer of ethylene. The binder is useful in preparing polyolefin/binder/polyamide or EVOH structures. These structures are useful in preparing rigid hollow bodies.
