  • Patent number: 10430749
Abstract: Certain embodiments of the invention relate to a method for monitoring the use of sensitive products (16) in which the products and/or their packaging are marked and identified and then the products are marketed while storing successively their references in a CENTRAL FILE, associated with determined user customers and with suppliers, then in stock-management files (30, 30?) and, gradually as they are used at a user customer, in customer files (34, 34?, etc.). If one or more anomalies are found making it possible to qualify a product of determined type as defective (RD), data comprising the reference of the defective product can be automatically and simultaneously transmitted to all of the media of the various files, the reference of the defective product is automatically compared (35, 35?, etc.) with the product references appearing in the files, and in the event of a positive comparison, a warning signal is immediately or substantially immediately triggered.

  • Patent number: 10426537
Abstract: A method and instrument for tensioning a flexible tie used for fastening an implant on a bony element by forming a first loop around it. In some embodiments, the instrument comprises a shaft having a distal end configured for contact with a rod, a moving part slidably engaged with the shaft, a holder connected to the moving part and configured to hold an end of the flexible tie, and a tension control member comprising a trigger that pivots relative to the moving part. In some embodiments, the method comprises coupling the end of the flexible tie to the instrument and squeezing the trigger to shorten the first loop of the flexible tie around the bony element, causing the moving part and the holder holding the end of the flexible tie to move in translation away from the distal end of the shaft, thereby exerting tension on the flexible tie.

  • Patent number: 10034761
Abstract: The present invention concerns an intersomatic implant (2) comprising a body (4) suitable for being inserted between two vertebrae (1) to space them a predetermined distance apart, the body (4) being provided on either side, respectively, with a contact surface (5, 5?) with the corresponding vertebrae (1). The body (4) is formed from an oblong part of predetermined thickness provided at a first so-called proximal end with a gripping cam (9) mounted movable in rotation relative to the part about an axis perpendicular to the two surfaces (5, 5?), between two predetermined angular positions. The contact surfaces (5, 5?) are either parallel or substantially parallel to one another, and each contact surface (5, 5?) of the body (4) with a corresponding vertebra (1) comprises a set of curved longitudinal protrusions (7, 7?, 7?) which decrease in height towards the distal ends thereof.

  • Patent number: 9949778
Abstract: A spinal implant can be fastened on a bony element of a patient via a flexible tie. In some embodiments, the spinal implant has two jaws, each having a recess and an opening. The recess is configured to receive a portion of a rod. A portion of the flexible tie is passed through the opening and between a wall of the recess and a surface of the rod to form a loop that can be placed around the bony element. The two jaws are hinged at one end and engaged at the opposite end via a locking member. The locking member can be adjusted to simultaneously hold the jaws together in a fixed position relative to the rod and lock the flexible tie, which has been properly tensioned, in translation relative to the spinal implant.

  • Patent number: 9848921
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein provide a method of placing a vertebral fixing system on a vertebra. The vertebral fixing system comprises a connecting part with members forming a space into which a rod may be inserted. The members are moveable relative to each other. A portion of a ligature may be passed through the connecting part to form a loop extending from the connecting part. When the rod is inserted in the space between the members, the ligature may be tensioned against the rod. The members of the connecting part may be driven together to hold the ligature in place. An adjustable locking means may be utilized to fix simultaneously in position the connecting part relative to the rod and at least one portion of the ligature relative to the connecting part, so as to prevent relative displacement of the rod and the vertebra in opposite directions.

Abstract: A vertebral fixation device and corresponding method of fixation hold a spinal vertebra on a rod. The device has a fixation element including a component of substantially U-shaped cross section with a first branch, a bottom and a second branch. A loop is formed by a flexible band for connecting the vertebra to the component, and which passes through recesses provided in the branches. Adjustable means for immobilizing the flexible band are provided. Those means include a connector screw having a head for longitudinal immobilization of the screw with respect to the first branch a thread for screwing in the second branch. A removable sleeve for passage of the screw, insertable in the first branch, in longitudinal abutment with the head of the screw is provided and presents a chamfered part designed to cooperate with the rod to compress the band between the rod and the bottom of the component.
