  • Publication number: 20250170997
Abstract: A method for operating a brake system, which includes a power brake and a vehicle dynamics control, after detecting that the level in a brake fluid reservoir of the brake system has fallen below a minimum fill level. The method includes detecting a brake signal, advancing a power piston to a forward position in which the required brake pressure is achieved, ascertaining the amount of travel of the power piston from the home position to the current position, holding the brake pressure and further advancing the power piston by a correction distance if the brake pressure decreases during the holding. The method also includes retracting the power piston by the ascertained amount of travel after the braking process has ended and degrading the brake system when a limit value for the forward position of the power piston has been reached.

  • Publication number: 20240083401
Abstract: A method for controlling an electronically slip-controllable power-brake system with redundant generation of brake pressure. Under certain operating conditions, a shift in the pressure-volume characteristic curve towards higher pressures may arise in such power-brake systems. If the actual progression of the pressure-volume characteristic curve deviates from the target progression to an extent which can no longer be tolerated, a correction is required. To this end, a pressure-medium volume must be released from the brake circuit into a reservoir of the power-brake system. A method with which the release of pressure medium into the reservoir may be carried out in a controlled manner. The method can be carried out during a braking procedure without undesired noises or unexpected changes in the deceleration arising. It can be implemented by control technology and therefore in a particularly cost-effective manner.

  • Patent number: 10875510
Abstract: A method for controlling an electronically slip-controllable power braking system of a motor vehicle. Power braking systems are equipped with a plunger unit, which includes a plunger piston accommodated in a plunger cylinder and delimiting a working chamber, for generating brake pressure in brake circuits. This plunger piston is actuatable by an electronically activatable drive in a pressure buildup direction or in the opposing spatial direction thereto in a pressure reducing direction. A time-limited drive of the plunger piston takes place in the pressure reducing direction as soon as an actual brake pressure generated by the plunger unit has reached a predefinable setpoint brake pressure and a decoupling of a wheel brake and the plunger unit from an associated brake circuit has taken place.

  • Patent number: 9844898
Abstract: Various processes for creating mirrored features are discussed herein as well as devices that include the mirrored features. One embodiment includes a button having a transparent layer and an opaque layer coupled to the transparent layer. A portion of the transparent layer extends through the opaque layer so that the portion of the transparent layer is flush with a back surface of the opaque layer and generally has a shape of a desired feature. The button also includes a reflective object positioned so that it may be seen through the transparent layer.
