  • Publication number: 20240130836
Abstract: [Problem] To provide a jig or the like, which makes it easier to install a dental analog in a jaw part model. [Solution] An analog holding jig 13 which comprises: a holding part main body 5 for holding a dental analog 3; and an analog guide connection part 9 which is connected to the holding part main body 5 for the connection of an analog guide 7. This analog holding jig 13 is used for the purpose of planting the dental analog 3 in a jaw part model 11 by the intermediary of the analog guide 7.

  • Patent number: 7003600
Abstract: A pointing device has a controllable selector for sending a version compatible signal and a newer functionality signal to a computer terminal. The pointing device has an operating unit which produces a signal which can be passed directly to the computer terminal, or can be modified with a new functionality, and then passed to the computer terminal. A controller in the pointing device monitors a protocol signal line to determine whether a version compatible signal or a new functionality signal is called for. The controller can activate a new functionality circuit and the selector to send the appropriate signal to the computer terminal. The controller can also monitor the protocol signal line in a power-on state, and execute a procedure to determine the functionality requested by the protocol signal line.

  • Patent number: 6522832
Abstract: A digital versatile disk device is provided which is capable of reproducing video disks without driving a computer even when the computer is not connected to the versatile disk device. The digital versatile disk device is provided with a computer connection signal line 30 for detecting whether or not the computer is connected, a DVD drive 22 for reading information from a digital versatile disk, and a DVD controller for controlling the DVD drive in response to a result by the computer connection signal line 30. When the digital versatile disk device is not connected with the computer, the DVD controller 14 controls the DVD drive 22 in accordance with an operational instruction input from the control portion 16.

  • Patent number: 6430653
Abstract: A disk control unit and method thereof enable read-in speed to be improved regarding a file which is stored in a fixed drive discontinuously. A prefetch decision circuit receives instructions from an instruction decode circuit. The prefetch decision circuit decides to which partition the instructions belong while comparing them with information of a partition map. The prefetch decision circuit presumes to which file the instructions belong while comparing them with information of a predictive cache entry. Next, the prefetch decision circuit directs read-in of a part of the file to the disk control circuit while determining to which block the instructions are connected to which block, thus storing prefetch data being read-in in disk cache. An instruction decode circuit, when read-in instruction is sent from a computer, compares the data regarding the instruction with the prefetch data.
