Patent number: 8195587Abstract: An information classifying apparatus includes an information receiving section, a rule storing section, a deciding section, a creating condition storing section, a creating section and a storage control section. The rule storing section stores a classifying rule which is a rule for classifying a piece of information. The deciding section decides as to whether a piece of information received by the information receiving section satisfies the stored classifying rule or not. The creating condition storing section stores a creating condition which is a condition for creating the classifying rule. The creating section creates, when the deciding section decides that the piece of information does not satisfy the stored classifying rule, a new classifying rule based on the creating condition stored in the creating condition storing section. The storage control section controls the rule storing section to store the new classifying rule created by the creating section.Type: GrantFiled: March 27, 2008Date of Patent: June 5, 2012Assignee: Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd.Inventor: Reiko Aoyama

Patent number: 7254743Abstract: The present invention provides increased processing efficiency for service of performing predetermined processes on document data through cooperation among the processes over a network. If an error exists during document input in an input plug-in element before a start of rule-based processing, when documents are captured from the input plug-in element, contents of the error are stored in an error history memory, and documents normally inputted are subjected to processing of processing plug-in and output plug-in elements according to the rule. Also when an error occurs during the rule-based processing, the contents of the error are stored in the error history memory, and the rule-based processing is continued for normal documents. Error histories are referred to, and if an error exists, the error contents are reported on the basis of the error histories.Type: GrantFiled: September 15, 2003Date of Patent: August 7, 2007Assignee: Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd.Inventors: Hiroshi Iida, Tohru Mori, Kenji Kawase, Hiroomi Ichiba, Satoshi Kaito, Reiko Aoyama, Noriyuki Abe, Nobuyuki Takao, Yumiko Koga, Mitsushige Oguri, Takanobu Suzuki
