    Abstract: A pair of poles are provided upright on one side of a bed, and a pair of horizontal bars are attached slidable in a vertical direction. A pair of auxiliary cushions extend lengthwise along both side ends of the bed. The pair of bars are connected to the front and rear ends of said auxiliary cushions so as to enable bed clothes over said auxiliary cushions to rise or lower as the bars are lifted or lowered.

    Abstract: A bed is capable of allowing a patient to go away from the bed, take a bath, or go to a stool of his or her own will. The bed includes a bed frame having a plurality of comb teeth cushions provided with intervals therebetween in the longitudinal direction of the bed, and a separable frame having a plurality of comb teeth cushions in alternate relation to the comb teeth cushions on the bed frame. The separable frame includes a moving/lifting apparatus for moving the separable frame away from the bed frame to a wheelchair stand, a toilet stool, a bathtub, etc., which are installed beforehand away from the bed while the patient is kept rested thereon.
