Abstract: An apparatus for optically projecting pixel-based image information onto a light-sensitive material has an image-generating device, an optical projection device, and a device for laterally offsetting the projected image of the image-generating device to produce a plurality of mutually offset partial images in the image plane. The offsetting device has two optical elements arranged in sequence in the light path of the projection. The projected partial images are offset relative to each other by tilting one or both of the optical elements.

Abstract: An apparatus for optically projecting pixel-based image information onto a light-sensitive material (12) has an image generator (1) for physically representing the image information in the form of monochrome partial images in different exposure colors. A projected image of the physical representation is produced by an optical projection device (4) which includes an offsetting device (7, 38, 39, 38a, 39a, 38c, 39c) for laterally offsetting the projected image in the image plane of the apparatus. The offsetting device is controlled by a controller means in a manner that is dependent on the exposure color of the monochrome partial image currently being produced by the image generator.

The negative images are printed in one reproduction scale on one section of a strip of stock during a first pass of the strip through the printing mechanism, the printing mechanism is readjusted, and the negative images are then printed in another, different scale on a subsequent section of the strip of stock during another pass of the strip through the printing mechanism.

Abstract: A method of and printer for printing photographs on light-sensitive paper of a particular format from transparent masters on a roll of film by means of a projector. Both the film and a strip of the paper are advanced through a printing point. The paper is displaced across the direction the film travels in with the center of the prescribed paper format at a distance from the optical axis of the projector. The projector can be adjusted to project the image of the master larger or smaller than the paper format.
