  • Patent number: 6623070
Abstract: A roof arrangement for a vehicle, which is particularly useful in a passenger car, has a roof frame, a sliding cover, and two lateral guideways, in which the sliding cover is movably guided for closing or at least partially exposing a roof opening. The sliding cover interacts with several bearing devices. Each bearing device, on one side, is linked to the sliding cover and, on the other side, is supported by way of a guiding element in one of the guideways. Each of the bearing devices has a lever arrangement which is fastened to the guiding element as well as to the sliding cover in a pivot bearing. In order to avoid bearing device rattling noise when the sliding cover is open, the lever arrangement is supported in its pivot bearing against at least one of the guiding element and the sliding lid by way of an elastic element made of a rubber-elastic material.

  • Publication number: 20030057732
Abstract: The invention relates to a motor vehicle having a flap, which is implemented, for example, as a tail gate, and is swivellably linked by way of a hinge device to the body of the motor vehicle, and opens and closes a flap opening, which hinge device comprises a body-side and a flap-side fitting part, and the two fitting parts are swivellably connected relative to one another by means of at least one multi-control-arm arrangement having at least two control arms. For adjusting the flap relative to the body of the motor vehicle, the flap-side fitting part for the fastening to the flap is provided with at least one oblong hole, and between the flap-side fitting part and the flap, an adjusting slide is arranged which has at least a second oblong hole, in which case a fastening element reaches through the two oblong holes and is fastened to the flap, and the second oblong hole extends at an angle (&agr;) with respect to the first oblong hole, this angle (&agr;) amounting to more than 0° and less than 90°.

  • Publication number: 20030057735
Abstract: A window arrangement for a vehicle has a viewing window and a window support frame which is fastened to the interior side of the window facing a vehicle interior, the window arrangement also having a sealing strip for the window edge, which sealing strip is fastened by means of a fastening extension to the window support frame. In order to permit a fast mounting of the sealing strip on the viewing window, the window support frame has a receiving recess for the fastening extension of the sealing strip, the fastening extension being held by at least one clamping element in the receiving recess.

  • Publication number: 20030015891
Abstract: A roof arrangement is particularly useful in a passenger car with a sliding cover which is provided for closing or partially exposing a roof opening and is linked to a lateral guiding device. The roof arrangement also has an element which can be moved with the cover and has a connection line as well as a line guiding device for the connection line. In order to be able to lay the connection line for the element in a simple manner, a screen which can be moved with the cover and which at least partially covers the guiding device is provided. The connection line is guided on the screen.

  • Patent number: 6158786
Abstract: A latch for a top of an automobile has a housing mounted on the top with a movable latching hook cooperating with a link mounted on the windshield frame. The latching hook is displaceable by an actuating device from a closed position into an open position. To produce a latch which forms a compact module, takes up little space in the transverse vehicle direction, and whose latching hook is movable by a motor, the motorized actuating device for the latching hook has a drive motor aligned approximately parallel to the lengthwise direction of the latching hook. The motor is in an operating relationship through a transverse transmission element and a downstream transmission with a drive lever to move the latching hook.

  • Patent number: 5957511
Abstract: A closure for a passenger car cover which is stretched against a stationary frame of a vehicle body, comprises a housing which is arranged on the top side and has an operating element and comprises a swivellable locking hook which interacts with a connecting link mounted on the frame. In its locked position, while having an inconspicuous appearance, the lock does not project with respect to the adjoining top contour in the direction of the passenger compartment. During the opening operation, the operating element takes up a position advantageous for gripping by a user. In the locked position of the lock, a first and a second operating element are arranged in a sunk manner in a recess of the top frame. The two operating elements interact such that the second operating element will be moved into a lowered gripping position only after the operation of the first operating element.

  • Patent number: 5868454
Abstract: A folding convertible top for a vehicle is held in its closed position on the adjoining windshield frame by locking arrangement and, after the release of the locking arrangement can be displaced into a rear-side deposited position. The locking arrangement comprises a locking element with a locking hook arranged on a forward folding top section as well as at least one centering device which acts between the folding top and the windshield frame, and has projecting centering elements arranged on the forward folding top section. A detent device is provided for fixing the folded-back folding top, and the locking element with the locking hook arranged on the forward folding top section and the centering elements also provided on the forward folding top section also form operating parts of the rear-side detent device.
