The electric motor has a housing with a housing wall, and the magnetic field is generated between the permanent magnet and the housing wall. The permanent magnet is annular and surrounds a rotor shaft of the rotor at a spacing. The braking element is fixedly connected to the rotor or fixedly arranged on the housing.
