  • Patent number: 8753739
Abstract: The present invention relates to a multi-layer product, the first layer being a UV-cured protective layer which contains SiO2 nanoparticles, and the second layer containing a thermoplastic substrate. In addition, the invention relates to the composition of the UV-curable first layer, a process for the production of the multi-layer products and products, such as e.g. glazing products, which contain the named multi-layer products.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 3, 2007
Date of Patent: June 17, 2014
    Assignee: Bayer MaterialScience AG
Inventors: Frank Buckel, Robert Maleika, Walter Koehler, Reiner Meyer
  • Patent number: 7394672
Abstract: A drive system for a vehicle moving along a trackway, particularly a magnetic levitation train, includes a linear motor which has a stator extending along the trackway, and can be connected to a three-phase output voltage of an output transformer. An electrical power supply supplies a three-phase supply voltage which is converted into a three-phase alternating voltage of predeterminable frequency and amplitude by a converter unit. The alternating voltage being connected to the primary winding of an output transformer. To provide for more differentiated power adaptation it is proposed that the secondary winding of the common output transformer be provided with taps which, in transformer mode, can be connected and disconnected by a stepping switch for adjusting and correcting the desired output voltage.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 12, 2006
Date of Patent: July 1, 2008
    Assignee: Siemens Aktiengesellschaft

  • Publication number: 20040126573
Abstract: A layered structure comprising in sequence a substrate, a scratch-resistant layer and a covering layer is disclosed. The scratch-resistant layer contains an at least partially cured polycondensate of a first reaction mixture that contains at least one silane, and the covering layer contains a cured polycondensate of a second reaction mixture that contains a silane compound having at least one non-hydrolyzable substituent that carries an epoxy group. The invention finds applicability for the uniform coating of three-dimensional substrates, especially motor vehicle windows.

  • Patent number: 5464614
Abstract: A stabilized superoxide dismutase (SOD) composition contains as additives cyclodextrin, preferably hydroxypropyl-.beta.-cyclodextrin, and either a sugar or a sugar alcohol, preferably mannitol.Freeze-dried formulations with the composition according to the invention yield clear solutions with a high enzymatic activity on resolvation.
