Abstract: A device for arranging a closable pouring device with respect to a hole in the end of a pack includes a mandrel wheel which is rotated intermittently about an axis of rotation. The mandrel wheel is provided with four mandrels which project radially from a hub. Arranged in the region of the outer periphery of the mandrel wheel at angular spacings with respect to the axis of rotation is a set-down station and adjacent heating station, followed by a sealing station and a stripper station in such a way that the outer end of each mandrel is capable of engaging in a step-wise manner each of the stations successively.

Abstract: A system for handling a waste web initially forming a label web adhesively bonded to a carrier web which together comprise a web laminate. The waste web, having its undersurface adhesively coated, results upon the formation of labels from the label web such that the carrier web supports the labels. The system includes a separating roll for causing the carrier and waste webs of the laminate to travel along separate paths. The machine has a web treating roll about which the waste web passes in adhereing contact therewith, and a doctor blade removes the waste web from the treating roll as waste material.

Abstract: A zigzag folding apparatus has conveyors for transporting a zigzag folded web from a folding station to a discharge station, and an adjustable web cutter for separating the web at adjacent folds into groups of folded web segments during the process of transporting the web and before the web reaches the discharge station.

Abstract: An apparatus for stacking a zigzag folded web into piles includes means for directing the web folds into a fold stacking station and includes endless fold directing belts having a sloped run which tangentially contacts only the outer free edges of the folds being conveyed to the stacking station.
