    Abstract: An apparatus for an airbag arrangement including a frame part and an airbag package. The frame part may be a part of a base body of a motor vehicle seat. The airbag package is fastened to the frame part. The airbag package includes a folded-up airbag that may be inflated with gas. The airbag package further includes at least one clamping element that is configured to press the airbag package against the frame part. The clamping element includes a first and a second end region via which the clamping element is secured to the frame part. The two end regions are connected to one another via a pretensionable bearing region of the clamping element. The clamping element includes an intermediate layer extending between the airbag package and the frame part, that together with the bearing region encompasses the airbag package in cross section by 360°.

    Abstract: An airbag system for a motor vehicle including a gas bag having first and second chambers. The system includes an inflator and a arranged in the connecting portion so that gas is guided into both the first and second chambers. The system includes at least one protective layer extending from the mass flow divider into the first chamber. Upon inflation of the gasbag, an inner pressure in the first chamber is significantly higher than an inner pressure in the second chamber, and wherein the protective layer comprises a flexible material deformed by the inner pressure in the first chamber to prevent gas from flowing from the first chamber through the connecting portion into the second chamber.
