  • Patent number: 9140293
Abstract: A joining element for connecting a first component to a second component, wherein the joining element includes a connection member for the pivotable mounting of the first component, and part of the connection member is receivable in at least one aperture of the second component in a predetermined orientation. A fixing mechanism is provided for directly fixing the connection member to the second component when the part of the connection member received in the aperture.

  • Patent number: 7686530
Abstract: Socket housing has a hemispherical ball socket and a plurality of circumferentially spaced retaining tongues which extend toward an insertion opening, the tongues being radially pivotable to engage over the equator of a ball head. An outer part has an insertion region and a receiving opening into which the socket housing can be inserted in an insertion direction via the insertion region, the insertion region having an inside surface defining an opening with a cross-sectional area which is larger than a cross-sectional area defined by an inside surface of the receiving opening. The retaining tongues are in contact with the inside surface of the receiving opening when the socket housing is in the installed position. A locking device prevents movement of the socket housing counter to the insertion direction when the socket housing is in the installed position.

  • Patent number: 6923248
Abstract: The present invention concerns a cooling cover (10) comprising cooling tubular armatures (34) applied against said cooling cover or against an existing cover. The cooling cover is characterized by a sandwich-type assembly of dry-process manufactured upper and lower firestop plates (16, 26) of gypsum plasterboard or plaster mold, separated by spacers (22) so as to form plane cavities (24) where the cooling tubular armatures (16) are situated, the upper plates (16) preferably being provided with a firestop spacer or a heat reflecting layer, for instance an aluminum foil. In an other embodiment, the tubes of the cooling armature are embedded in a sealing material, resulting in a plate being placed either against the lower surface of the dry-process manufactured upper plates or against segments of this surface.

  • Patent number: 6494422
Abstract: A length-adjustable column for chairs or the like comprises an upright tube with a longitudinal axis and a piston-and-cylinder unit radially supported and displaceably guided in the direction of the longitudinal axis. A lengthwise end of the piston-and-cylinder unit is locked by an axial bearing on a base plate of the upright tube in the axial direction. For this purpose, the axial bearing is axially fixed to the lengthwise end of the piston-and-cylinder unit. The axial bearing has at least two locking arms which lock it to the base plate of the upright tube, and a securing bolt which is pushed by the piston-and-cylinder unit between the locking arms to secure the locking.

  • Patent number: 4755959
Abstract: A circuit arrangement for calculating a visual line of sight distance in digitally stored model. A distance long the line of sight is calculated by stepping radially outward along the line of sight. The step sizes which are chosen are selected based on the angle of the line of sight to the grid of the stored model and are selected to ensure that the evaluation points are at points of the grid. The stepping along the line of sight is performed by two sets of integrators and the output of one of the two sets of integrators is selected.
