  • Patent number: 4215385
Abstract: In a regenerable electric capacitor, particularly for a.c. voltage applications, the metal coatings consist of an alloy of aluminum and a metal whose oxides possess a specific resistance .rho.<10.sup.9 .OMEGA.cm. Alloy metals are preferably copper or zinc, and maganese, tin, silver, chromium, iron or lead are also suitable. With the alloy of the invention, the coating decomposition is prevented by the increased edge field strengths.

  • Patent number: 4170665
Abstract: An impregnated electrical capacitor employing a dielectric which at least in part comprises plastic foils, in which the dielectric is expanded by an impregnating agent to substantially eliminate objectionable gaps filled with air or impregnating material whereby the breakdown strength provided by the dielectric foils is not impaired. In producing such capacitor, the temperature during and after impregnation and the degree of winding compression or tightness may be varied to provide desired control of the expansion and insure complete impregnation and control of the final volume, as compared with the original, of the capacitor structure.

  • Patent number: 4161774
Abstract: A paper capacitor is disclosed of simple construction and suitable for use in voltage multiplier cascades. The paper capacitor has an interior series circuit formed by regenerably thin coatings and coatings with a high surface conductivity which overlap one another in an axial direction and have dielectric films therebetween. At least one covering layer is formed from the coatings of high surface conductivity and the corresponding dielectric film. Connection wires are sealed into the coatings of high surface conductivity and corresponding dielectric film.

  • Patent number: 4095199
Abstract: An electrical LC resonant circuit, particularly useful for channel filters in carrier frequency technology, has a fixed-tuned coil and a capacitor tunable by the removal of layer surface portions. The capacitor is constructed as an essentially flat, self-healing layer capacitor having a relatively small number of layer surfaces and dielectric layers lying one upon the other.
