  • Patent number: 5424038
Abstract: An arrangement for receiving and transferring liquid specimens has a plurality of receiving vessels each formed as a closed cell provided with two conduits including a first conduit open below and a second conduit open above into an interior of the cell, two pairs of connecting conduits, and a mechanical switching device which is bringable in three positions for each group of the cells so as to alternatingly tightly close the first and second conduits, connect the first and second conduits with the first pair of connecting conduits, and connect the first and second conduits with the second pair of connecting conduits.

  • Patent number: 5261840
Abstract: The contact element has at least two parallel strips and a row of webs which are arranged between said strips, are of one piece with these and are twisted with respect to them and springy and have two constricted parts. Each web has two web edges, a first web edge having a convex part and the other, second web edge having a concave part, the convex part and concave part being located between the two constricted parts. When the webs are in the untwisted state, each convex part not arranged at the end of the web row projects into the concave part of the adjacent web. This enables the webs to compensate, by means of a spring travel, a large tolerance interval of the distance between two contact surfaces to be electrically conductively connected to one another by the contact element, the contact element simultaneously having a relatively large number of webs per length unit of the web row and being capable of being produced in an economical manner.

  • Patent number: 5127278
Abstract: An apparatus for dissolution testing of solid medications in accordance with a throughflow method comprises a plurality of testing cells to be surrounded by heating bath each having a lower supply opening for testing fluid and an upper filter with a filter head having an outlet opening, a connecting member arranged on the filter head and tightly connectable with the outlet opening of the filter head under pressure and connected with a conduit for outflow of the testing fluid, a cell base provided with a testing fluid supply conduit and tightly placed on the supply opening of each of the testing cells, and a tensioning unit pressing all the connecting members and all the cell bases together on the testing cells.

  • Patent number: 4456325
Abstract: There is disclosed an electrical connection device for producing an electrically conductive connection between two contact bodies, the device comprising resilient means of a material having good spring properties and a plurality of plate-shaped conductor members of a material with good electrical conductivity. The resilient means may consist of a central strip and a plurality of tongues arranged in pairs and protruding from both sides of the strip. Each conductor member is provided at one of its wide sides, namely its base surface, with a cross-shaped recess receiving part of the resilient element. The resilient element and conductor members are connected together at the free ends of the tongues, the conductor members being longer and wider in plan than the tongues. The conductor members therefore cover a relatively large part of the contact area covered by the device as a whole.
