Abstract: A device and method for guiding a metal strip in the vicinity of a coiler. The device includes a support frame, which at its first end is rotatably supported about a second axis of rotation relative to a fixed structure and supports a guide table and at its second end, i.e., the end that lies opposite the first end, is rotatably connected with a swivel frame about a first axis of rotation. The swivel arm supports a first guide table at its end that lies opposite the first axis of rotation. Both the support frame and the swivel frame are controlled by their own associated actuators and are suitably positioned according to the desired operating position.

Abstract: The invention concerns a device for guiding a metal strip 200 in the vicinity of a coiler and a method for operating a device of this type. The device of the invention comprises a support frame 160, which at its first end is rotatably supported about a second axis of rotation D2 relative to a fixed structure 400 and supports a guide table 120 and at its second end, i.e., the end that lies opposite the first end, is rotatably connected with a swivel frame 140 about a first axis of rotation. The swivel arm supports a first guide table at its end that lies opposite the first axis of rotation D1. Both the support frame 160 and the swivel frame 140 are controlled by their own associated actuators and are suitably positioned according to the desired operating position. It is advantageous that the device of the invention can be adjusted in an especially universal way, i.e., that it can be moved into many different operating positions.

Abstract: A finishing section of a single-strand wire rolling train with two finishing blocks, wherein, for selectively rolling smaller and larger wire diameters, one of the finishing blocks is arranged in a first rolling line extending in the rolling line of the intermediate rolling section of the train and the other finishing block is arranged in a second rolling line extending parallel to the first rolling line, wherein the wire strand arriving from the intermediate rolling section is selectively supplied to one of the finishing blocks through a distributing guide unit arranged following the intermediate rolling section and the wire strand is conducted after rolling possibly over an additional distributing guide unit to a wire collecting unit arranged following the additional distributing guide unit. A finishing block intended for rolling only small wire diameters is arranged in one of the rolling lines and a finishing block intended for rolling only large wire diameters is arranged in the other rolling line.
