  • Publication number: 20220235521
Abstract: A method for controlling/regulating a rotatory drive of a working unit of a track maintenance machine includes using a sensor to record a measurement parameter with an approximately periodic history function derived from a rotation of the drive. A frequency or period duration of the history function is determined with an evaluation device, and the frequency or period duration is compared with a target parameter for stipulating a control signal. A number of time-discrete measurement values is formed for the measurement parameter and an auto-correlation of these measurement values is carried out by a calculation unit for determining the frequency or the period duration. As compared to a conventional method with zero stage recording, a precise recording of frequency changes is therefore also possible between two zero stages. A device for carrying out the method is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20220056647
Abstract: The invention relates to a track maintenance machine having a tamping unit for tamping sleepers of a track lying in a ballast bed, including a tool carrier which is mounted for vertical adjustment on an assembly frame and on which tamping tools are arranged so as to be squeezable towards one another, wherein the tool carrier is coupled to a vertical adjustment drive actuated by means of a control device. In this, a control circuit is set up for controlling a lowering motion of the tool carrier, the control circuit including a controller, a setting device for the vertical adjustment drive and a measuring device for recording the lowering motion. With this, it is possible to provide an optimal course for the lowering motion.

  • Publication number: 20210355638
Abstract: A tamping unit for tamping sleepers of a track includes a tool carrier supported in a lowerable manner on an assembly frame, on which two pivot levers with tamping tools are mounted so as to be squeezable toward one another and, while being actuatable with a vibration, are rotatable about a respective rotation axis. A sensor for recording a pivot angle of a pivoting motion about the related rotation axis is associated with at least one pivot lever. The sensor has a multipart configuration with a first sensor part fastened to the tool carrier and a second sensor part fastened to the pivot lever. In this manner, sensitive sensor components in the first sensor part are subjected to lessened stress since the tool carrier merely performs a lowering or lifting motion during a tamping operation. A method for operating the tamping unit is also provided.

  • Patent number: 9278234
Abstract: This invention relates to encapsulated flavor and/or fragrance preparations and a method for producing same from a spray solution consisting of an aqueous solution of polymeric carriers and emulsified flavors and/or fragrances. The granules have an adjustable particle size of between 0.2 and 2 mm, present even size distribution and a globular shape and are further characterized by a high concentration and high retention of volatile flavors.

  • Patent number: 5213820
Abstract: Granule production is based on particle growth in a fluidized bed (4), in which the liquid starting product is sprayed into the fluidized bed and the finished granular particle is discharged from the fluidized bed (4) with classification. The classification is carried out with the aid of a classifying air flow which is divided into individual single flows (6) to each of which is assigned a zigzag classifier module (7, 17) and a spray nozzle (5) or a group of spray nozzles. The course of the classifying process is such that the granular particles which are too small and have not yet reached the desired diameter are thrown back into the fluidized bed (4) by a return shaft (9, 18) seated on each of the zigzag classifier modules (7, 17) in parallel or radial zones without cross-mixing, in which the relatively small particles impinge at a relatively large distance from the return shaft (9, 18) and the large particles, which have already grown close to the discharge size, impinge at a relatively small distance.

  • Patent number: 4931174
Abstract: The zigzag classifier has a classifying space provided with air inlets which is subdivided into zigzag-shaped ducts, which are connected in parallel with respect to the flow, the lengths of which are greater than their widths. In this way a classifier package is formed with a plurality of small duct cross-sections. This design principle permits substantially lower overall heights for the same number of bends.
