  • Patent number: 4902156
Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed on the basis whereof the image cylinders seated in cantilevered fashion in drum scanners can be mounted in the scanner in a short time running centrally regardless of the dexterity of the operator. This thus enables the preparation of the image cylinders (application of the images, etc.) outside of the apparatus, this leading to short standstill times of the scanner.

  • Patent number: 4733046
Abstract: Pressure-tight vacuum chamber of an electron beam engraving machine for the acceptance of printing cylinders to be engraved, comprising a lower part similar to a machine bed, comprising a pressure-tight vacuum hood put in place on said lower part which is fashioned as a barrel-like arch and which is put in place on a sealing lip surrounding said lower part at its upper edge, comprising a loading opening for the printing cylinders situated in the upper central region of said hood and extending in longitudinal direction of said hood, comprising a cover lowerable into the loading opening and sealing with the loading opening, and comprising lifting and coveying devices situated at the face ends and at the loading opening with which the cover can be lifted out of its closed position and can be moved at the outer circumference of the hood in circumferential direction while releasing the opening in open position and can be moved back from the open position over the opening and be lowered into the closed position.

  • Patent number: 4667948
Abstract: Offset printing plates are usually supplied from the manufacturer as a plate stack with intermediate paper layers. For further processing, the plate stack is placed in a magazine cassette. A suction plate lifts a top plate off from the stack and, after removal of the intermediate paper layer by means of blowing air, conducts it for further processing. Also by means of blowing air, the respective upper plates of the remaining stack are isolated, so that they no longer firmly adhere to the stack. Undesired dislocations of the plates thus arising are mechanically corrected.

  • Patent number: 4597678
Abstract: There is disclosed herein a bearing for highprecision transport spindles used in machines for electrical reproduction technology, machine tools, measuring installations and the like, wherein axial movement due to bearing tolerances are eliminated by the bearing device of this invention. The radial and axial bearing of the spindle are decoupled from one another by means of the bearing device, thereby eliminating the axial dislocation errors.

  • Patent number: 4492984
Abstract: A roller for drum scanners is described, consisting of a hollow cylindrical element which is arranged for rotation at its ends and provided with suction openings for reception of a record carrier or of an original. The cylindrical roller element is assembled from a plurality of individual elements which are held together by means of a rod which may be screwed to end lid members of the roller element and are also bonded to each other.

  • Patent number: 4315136
Abstract: A thermic developing station for recording material which is to be developed by means of heat, comprising a rotatable drum and a heating element which is adapted to fit the curvature of the drum surface, the recording material being fed through between the drum and the heating element by the drum and at the entrance of the recording material into the heating zone an unheated member is provided which is also adapted to fit the surface of the drum.

  • Patent number: 4163980
Abstract: A recording device for use in electrostatic reproduction of an image on a recording medium includes a support, two carrier plates juxtaposed relative to each other on the support, covers for the carrier plates, a row of electrodes near one side of each carrier plate, supply leads for the electrodes near each carrier plate on its other side, a plurality of counter electrodes spaced apart from the electrodes, and an insulating layer between the carrier plates. The electrodes and counter electrodes define a gap adapted for the passage of the recording medium.
