  • Patent number: 9111900
Abstract: A power semiconductor device comprising a power semiconductor module and a heat sink and a method for its manufacture. The heat sink has a first cooling housing component, with a cutout passing therethrough, and a second cooling housing component, with a cooling plate arranged in the cutout. The first and second cooling housing components are configured and arranged relative to one another so that a cavity is formed at the side of the cooling plate facing away from the power semiconductor components. The cooling plate is connected to the first cooling housing component by a first weld seam which extends circumferentially therearound. The first weld seam seals the cooling plate in relation to the first cooling housing component, and the second cooling housing component is connected to the first cooling housing component. The inventive power semiconductor device has good heat conduction from the power semiconductor components to a heat sink.

  • Patent number: 8401739
Abstract: Disclosed is a device for activating a security system in a vehicle including a first and second vehicle sensor (4). The sensor include, respectively, a measuring value sensor (4.1) which can detect acceleration and structure-borne noise, and a central unit (2) which evaluates the signals of at least two vehicle sensors (4) and activates the security system according to the signals. The first and second vehicle sensors have a first direction of sensitivity for at least one measuring value sensor (4.1), which is used to detect acceleration, and a second direction of sensitivity for at least one measuring value sensor (4.1) which is used to detect structure-borne noise.

  • Patent number: 6460943
Abstract: A method controls brake pressure for a motor vehicle pressure medium-actuated power brake system in which the adjustment of a proportionality factor (k) between deceleration and brake pressure starting from an initial value (ko) is limited to a range bounded by a lower limit value and an upper limit value in which range the initial value (ko) is contained. This produces a warning travel of the pedal when excessive deviation of the brake pressure from the expected value occurs. The warning travel informs the driver of the braking effect which is deviating excessively from the expected degree. Methods are known in which a specific travel (sp) of the brake pedal is interpreted as a setting of a specific desired deceleration (zs) of the vehicle and the required brake pressure is set automatically if appropriate by incrementally adjusting a variable proportionality factor (k).

  • Patent number: 5422812
Abstract: A positioning and navigation system for land vehicles features a simple and memory-conserving route entry method. Routes on maps can be specified by the junctions traversed by the route, so that entering only the junctions in memory uses much less space than prior art digital route storage systems which stored the coordinates of each point along the route. A trip progress information display shows the route vividly by using color or brightness contrast with the rest of the map. Additional direction of travel indications can be given, for example on a Head Up Display reflected off the inside of the windshield within the operator's field of view or by acoustic signals or speech-synthesized announcements. This results in particularly easy-to-follow guide to the driver or operator. Head-up displays on motor vehicles often have double images and interfering reflections on the windshield.
