Patent number: 8955321Abstract: A method is provided for primary control of a steam turbine installation in network operation, which provides at least two pressure stages, these being a high-pressure and a low-pressure steam turbine stage, in which for storing reserve power a live steam valve along an operating-steam feed line to at least one pressure stage of the steam turbine is operated in a throttled manner, the live steam valve, in the case of a reducing network frequency and network frequency boosting which is necessary as a result of this, is transferred to an at least less throttled state. At least some of the partially expanded operating steam which issues from the high-pressure steam turbine stage is introduced directly without reheating, into the low-pressure steam turbine stage for further expansion.Type: GrantFiled: May 17, 2010Date of Patent: February 17, 2015Assignee: Alstom Technology Ltd.Inventors: Olaf Berke, Franz-Josef Höly, Karsten Müller, Reinhard Johannes Severin Cloppenburg

Patent number: 7568342Abstract: A supply pump actuating turbine, in particular for a power plant, that includes at least two jet sectors for introducing a working gas into the turbine, a line system for connecting the at least two jet sectors to at least two different sources of working gas, and a valve arrangement for setting the supply of the jet sectors with the working gas from at least one of the sources. The valve arrangement and the line system are designed in such a way that at least three operating states can be set: a first operating state, in which all the jet sectors are supplied with the working gas of the first source, a second operating state, in which all the jet sectors are supplied with the working gas of the second source, and a third operating state, in which at least one of the jet sectors is supplied with the working gas of the first source and at least one other of the jet sectors is supplied with the working gas of the second source.Type: GrantFiled: March 7, 2006Date of Patent: August 4, 2009Assignee: Alstom Technology LtdInventors: Reinhard Johannes Severin Cloppenburg, Dirk Hartmann, Stefan Klatt, Karsten Mueller

Patent number: 6054345Abstract: A semiconductor memory device for receiving a charge, includes a substrate, a transfer gate overlying the substrate, a storage device coupled to the transfer gate, a deep depleted region formed in the substrate under the storage means, and a bit line for initially receiving the charge and the substrate receiving the charge via the transfer gate. The substrate is highly resistive in a deep depletion mode, if no charge is stored therein, and has a relatively low resistivity in a charged state. Further, a process of forming a semiconductor memory device, includes depositing a first gate oxide over a substrate having a trench and depositing a nitride over the first gate oxide, forming openings in the nitride down to the gate oxide, and depositing polysilicon over the nitride and etching first spacers in the polysilicon along the sidewalls of the openings in the nitride. A second polysilicon material is deposited over the first spacers and substrate and second spacers are formed in the second polysilicon material.Type: GrantFiled: April 7, 1997Date of Patent: April 25, 2000Assignee: Siemens AktiengesellschaftInventors: Johann Alsmeier, Reinhard Johannes Stengl

Patent number: 5960318Abstract: A method of fabricating a self-aligned borderless contact in a semiconductor device. The semiconductor device includes a first conductor level, a patterned conductor level defining a pair of spaced apart conducting segments, and a dielectric insulating layer disposed between the first conductor level and the patterned conductor level, and over the pair of spaced apart conducting segments of the patterned conductor level. The method comprises the steps of etching a contact hole in a selected region of the dielectric insulating layer which lies above and is substantially aligned between the pair of the segments. The etching continues through the dielectric insulating layer so that a portion of the dielectric insulating layer remains between the contact hole and the first conductor level. A spacer is formed which lines the contact hole.Type: GrantFiled: October 27, 1995Date of Patent: September 28, 1999Assignees: Siemens Aktiengesellschaft, International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Matthias L. Peschke, Jeffrey Gambino, James Gardner Ryan, Reinhard Johannes Stengl

Patent number: 5670805Abstract: A semiconductor memory device includes a trench formed in a semiconductor substrate. Conductive material is formed in the trench and is insulatively spaced from the semiconductor substrate to form a capacitor. A transfer gate transistor includes source/drain regions formed on a surface of the semiconductor substrate and a control gate which is insulatively spaced from a channel region between the source and drain regions. A buried strap electrically connects the capacitor to one of the source/drain regions of the transfer gate transistor. A portion of the buried strap includes recrystallized silicon.Type: GrantFiled: May 7, 1996Date of Patent: September 23, 1997Assignees: Kabushiki Kaisha Toshiba, International Business Machines Corporation, Siemens, AktiengesellschaftInventors: Erwin Hammerl, Jack A. Patent number: 5454134Abstract: A windshield washing system, especially for motor vehicles, is provided with a wiper shaft, on which a wiper arm can be non-rotatably fastened and which wiper shaft includes an axial bore in order to receive a line made from form-stable plastic material with at least one channel, through which at least one washing nozzle moving in pendular motion with the wiper arm during the wiping process can be provided with washing liquid. In order to ensure that the wiper shaft takes along the line, the line is form-fittingly connected with the wiper shaft in the swivelling direction of said wiper shaft at the end of the wiper shaft turned away from the wiper arm.Type: GrantFiled: January 22, 1993Date of Patent: October 3, 1995Assignee: SWF Auto Electric GmbHInventors: Reinhard Edele, Reinhard Johannes, Oldrich Krizek, Eckhardt Schmid, Eugen Gorner, Helmut Karl
