  • Patent number: 5262454
Abstract: A flame-resistant, hardenable polyorganosiloxane compound is described with a content of 2 to 40 weight % hollow glass balls with an outside diameter of up to 200 .mu.m and 3 to 50 weight % of an inorganic intumescent compound which expands at a temperature from 80.degree. to 250.degree. C. The preferred intumescent compound is expandable graphite. The compound can replace the previous compounds provided with polyhalogenated diphenyl compounds in fireproof windows.

  • Patent number: 5246974
Abstract: A foamable, curable composition or mass based on silicone is disclosed which comprises components which expand at higher temperatures and which do not burn or are difficult to burn. The mass is suitable for fire-proofing, since the burning temperature leads to an expansion of these components. The mass can be used to seal or cover objects which are in danger of burning or can be formed into a finished, molded object or body and used as such.

  • Patent number: 4546017
Abstract: A composition curable to an elastomer in the presence of moisture obtained by mixing (A) a polydiorganosiloxane having terminal silicon-bonded hydroxyl groups; (B) a defined complex of titanium; and (C) an oxime silane crosslinking agent. The compositions may also contain conventional ingredients such as fillers, curing catalysts and polydimethylsiloxanes having terminal triorganosiloxy groups. The compositions are particularly suitable for use as low modulus sealants in building and glazing structures.
