  • Patent number: 5205580
Abstract: A wheel suspension system for a motor vehicle is described for influencing wheel movement during suspension operations by a positively guided wheel suspension link which can be swivelled on the vehicle body about an axis formed by link bearings and, by way of bearings, is supported on the wheel carrier in an articulated manner. The wheel suspension link is linked to the wheel carrier by bridge elements forming coupling squares which are set at an angle with respect to one another with respect to a perpendicular wheel center longitudinal plane. Longitudinal planes extending through the bridge elements intersect with one another approximately in the perpendicular longitudinal center plane and approximately at the level of the wheel contact surface. Because of the linkage of the wheel suspension link on the wheel carrier by the bridge elements forming coupling squares, during suspension movements of the wheel, essentially only a track change of the wheel can take place.

  • Patent number: 4805747
Abstract: An arrangement for supplying cooling air to a brake disk of a front wheel brake comprises an air guiding duct that is developed to be partially flexible and, on the inlet side, has an air opening in the front end of a motor vehicle and, on the outlet side, has another air opening that is directed at the brake disk. Two air inlet openings in a brake disk guard plate are opposite said air opening and form a separate transversely directed air guiding system to the brake disk. The air guiding duct is provided with several rigid duct portions that are held so that they are be fixed at the vehicle, namely at the vehicle body, as well as at the wheel, namely at the wishbone, as well as adjacent to the brake disk at a guard plate. They are each connected with one another via flexible intermediate duct portions, in which case the rigid duct portions can be moved relative to one another together with their assorted vehicle components.

  • Patent number: 4690462
Abstract: A central locking arrangement for wheels of motor vehicles with a centrally aranged threaded bush which is connected with a joint shaft, whereby the bush retainingly receives the wheel under interposition of a wheel hub. An anti-rotation protecting sleeve which is arranged inside of the threaded bush is connected with the joint shaft and the bush. The anti-rotation protecting sleeve is form-lockingly connected with its free end opposite the joint shaft with a lockable anti-threft protecting lock adapted to be inserted in the bush. The threaded bush includes a longitudinal bore with a polygonally shaped section that serves for the work-tool engagement and in which the protecting sleeve is retained by way of a corresponding outer contour.
