  • Patent number: 9120269
Abstract: A device and a method are described for feeding a material layer onto a construction platform, or onto at least one material layer located on the construction platform, for producing an object, which is mounted to linearly move relative to a material reservoir and the construction platform along a motion plane. A circulating band is stretched around at least two molded bodies and contacts the molded bodies at least in segments. A drive circulates the band around the at least two bodies. The band has a band segment which can be fixedly in position relative to at least one body in the longitudinal section around the at least two molded bodies. At least the segments contact the material stored in the material reservoir during the linear motion from the material reservoir to the construction platform so that at least a part of the material is stripped off from the material reservoir and is applied as the material layer to the construction platform to compress the material layer.

  • Publication number: 20090212035
Abstract: The invention relates to a spark plug and method for manufacturing it, which spark plug has been manufactured from one electrically conductive element and one electrically non-conductive element, sintered composite ceramic material having been used for the manufacture. These spark plugs can preferably be used for stationary-mode heaters, operated with fuels, of motor vehicles. According to the object which is set, it should be possible to manufacture such spark plugs cost-effectively and flexibly and at the same time provide an extended service life and oxidation resistance. The conductive element here is to be embraced on two opposite sides by the electrically non-conductive element and it has an enlarged cross section in the distal region while a cross-sectional ratio of between 2.5 and 5 to 1 is maintained with respect to the cross section of the electrically conductive element.

  • Patent number: 7173079
Abstract: The casting-mold material designed to manufacture casting molds used in casting high melting-point substances. The casting mold formed from a powder component containing magnesium oxide and aluminum oxide and a liquid component. The powder component additionally contains a calcium aluminate and an alkali fluoride or an earth alkali fluoride and the liquid component contains a polyelectrolyte and a basic component, the latter determining the liquid component pH value between 10 and 14. A fluid slip is prepared by mixing the powder and liquid components and is dried, hardened and sintered to produce a hollow mold.

  • Patent number: 6978901
Abstract: The invention relates to the area of ceramics and to ceramic multilayer filters, such as used for separating gases. The invention provides ceramic multilayer filters which are more economical to produce. To this end, the inventive ceramic multilayer filters include at least two layers of different particle size, the particle surfaces of all of the ceramic particles being completely or partially perfused with a material and spot and/or surface joints being formed between particles. The invention also provides a method for producing ceramic multilayer filters of this type, according to which slips are produced from at least two ceramic powders of different particle size, the particles of the ceramic powders being perfused with a material or a material in powder form being added to the ceramic slips. One or more layers are formed from the slips and then dried. At least two layers are placed one above the other and/or joined to each other and together are subjected to a temperature increase.

  • Patent number: 5972286
Abstract: The invention relates to the field of ceramic and hard metal industries and concerns a process for manufacturing hard metal parts, in particular th having a complex geometry, such as those used for example as machining tools and wear elements. The object of the invention is to create a process which allows the manufacture of hard metal parts with a complex geometry by using a stable dispersed hard metal-binder suspension, wherein the binder is a thermoplastic binder having a viscosity of 3 to 6 mPa s, and without using an organic solvent to eliminate the binder. For that purpose, a process is disclosed wherein a hard metal powder having an average grain size smaller than 2.0 .mu.m is mixed with a liquefied thermoplastic binder, with viscosity of the mixture being set upon a value of at least 100 mPa s and up to 4,000 mPa s during the whole production and treatment process.
