  • Patent number: 5947810
Abstract: An apparatus for gaining fish meat in pulp form is described. The apparatus comprises a fish filleting machine, a separating device arranged downstream of said filleting machine and comprising a perforated drum and a pressing belt wrapped around a portion of the drum, and a transport apparatus. In order to ensure that the fish enter the straining apparatus in the correct orientation and substantially flat so that the straining apparatus may operate efficiently even when double fillets are produced by the filleting machine, the transport apparatus comprises upper and lower conveying belts which positively engage the fish fillets between them and convey the fillets fixed in the correct orientation.

  • Patent number: 4546520
Abstract: The invention concerns a device for processing fish and introducing the same into cans. It is characterized in that the fish are placed in alternating alignment in threes or fours in troughs of a conveyor which comprises one middle trough element flanked by two outer ones and whose support surface comprises a base plate raisable and lowerable by the force of a spring. The fish brought onto the base plate are guided to a cutting device which cuts out the rump pieces of the fish and which is adjustable with regard to the desired fish length. Subsequently they are gutted by the use of low pressure. The transfer of the fish into the cans held ready in time with the troughs occurs in the lower run of the conveyor, maintaining the packing pattern predetermined by the introduction into cans by lifting the base plate. In that process the can supply is monitored such that each can is only confronted with a full trough.

  • Patent number: 4321729
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for aligning fish in the position required for decapitation. For this purpose the fish is displaced by means of sprung displacement elements with the point of connection of at least one of its breast fins until the latter engages the catching edge of a brake shoe. The breast fin which is erected thereby is introduced, while being conveyed further, into a gap formed between the brake shoe and a guide track which ensures the guiding of the same and thus of the fish in a well-defined position for decapitation.
