Patent number: 11559600Abstract: An apparatus for treating contaminated fluid has a UV lamp within an elongate housing, typically rectangular shaped. Deflector baffles within the housing create a meandering pathway perpendicular to the lamp for exposing the fluid to the UV light along the entire length of the pathway. Fins create multiple channels in the pathway to substantially increase internal surface area contact with the fluid. A photocatalytic coating on the baffles, fins and internal surfaces of the housing is maintained within a pre-set radial distance, preferably within about 75 mm, from the lamp for optimal creation of a photocatalytic reactant. The fluid flowing along the pathway, including channels, is also maintained in close proximity to the lamp and has adequate time for exposure to the ultraviolet light and photocatalytic reactant for treatment before exiting the housing.Type: GrantFiled: June 2, 2021Date of Patent: January 24, 2023Assignee: TI-DOX PATENT INC.Inventors: Dean Richard Neitz, Reinhard Schuetz

Publication number: 20210113964Abstract: An arrangement and process of mitigating contaminants has a flow element intermediate a first space with contaminated matter (including contaminated gas) and a second space. Contaminated matter is drawn from the first space into the flow element and then urged into segregated contaminated gas and residual contaminated matter collected in the second space. Segregated contaminated gas is merged with gas from the second space to form mixed gas and treated to form primary treated gas which is directed to generate at least some of the drawing of contaminated matter from the first space into the flow element. Mixed gas can be treated by passing it through passages in the flow element coated with decontaminating agent and/or through a decontamination unit. The flow element allows for air flow to effectively act as a one-way barrier obstructing migration of contaminated matter from the second space back to the first space.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 28, 2020Publication date: April 22, 2021Applicant: Ti-DOX Patent Inc.Inventors: Reinhard Schuetz, Dean Richard Neitz

Patent number: 10633266Abstract: An apparatus for treating a contaminated fluid has a UV lamp within a tubular housing. A plurality of baffles within the housing create meandering pathways parallel to the lamp for exposing the fluid to the UV light along the entire length of the pathways. A photocatalytic coating on the baffles and inner surfaces of the housing is maintained within a pre-set radial distance, preferably no more than about 75 mm, from the lamp for optimal creation of a photocatalytic reactant. The contaminated fluid flowing through the meandering pathways is maintained in close proximity to the lamp and has adequate time for exposure to the ultraviolet light and photocatalytic reactant for treatment before exiting the housing. The baffles are removably positioned within the housing for convenient maintenance or to alter the length of the pathways, without re-sizing the housing.Type: GrantFiled: March 18, 2018Date of Patent: April 28, 2020Assignee: UV-DOX PATENT INC.Inventor: Reinhard Schuetz

Patent number: 9784399Abstract: A method for producing a damper for an air line of an internal combustion engine includes the following steps: providing a temperature-controlled inner part having passages; producing a tubular preform of an outer jacket from a thermoplastic melt; and attaching the temperature-controlled inner part to a blowing mandrel of a blow mold, which is open. The blowing mandrel has outlet openings and the passages are positioned over the outlet openings. The method further includes bringing the temperature-controlled preform over the inner part and closing the blow mold such that the preform is blown against the walls of the blow mold, whereby an outer jacket is obtained. Simultaneously, local connections between the inner part and the outer jacket are obtained by pressing the preform and the inner part against each other in some regions. Finally, the blow mold is opened and the damper is removed.Type: GrantFiled: July 18, 2012Date of Patent: October 10, 2017Assignees: UMFOTEC GMBHInventors: Reinhard Schuetz, Paul Lippke

Patent number: 7266953Abstract: A condensing assembly for urging condensation of a vapour into a liquid has a vertically stacked modular array of horizontal condensation units exposed to a heat transfer medium. Each condensation unit has a cooling chamber, a plurality of hollow legs and necks accessing the cooling chamber to define a fluid passageway. An open or enclosed space between vertically opposed condensation units is created by coupling the necks and legs of opposed condensation units. Introduced vapour travels along the fluid passageways and through the cooling chambers for condensation into liquid, which then travels along the fluid passageways to a storage tank. A cooling loop in each cooling chamber increases condensation. Vapour funnels in the condensation units along the fluid passageway reduce vapour to liquid contact therealong. An inlet header provides additional cooling to the vapour prior to entering the condensation units.Type: GrantFiled: March 9, 2005Date of Patent: September 11, 2007Assignee: TankSafe Inc.Inventors: Reinhard Schuetz, Wayne Bowd

Patent number: 5971009Abstract: A containment assembly for storing a liquid substance above a ground support surface has an inner tank for receiving and storing the liquid and an outer tank surrounding the inner tank and forming a first air space therebetween for trapping any of the liquid which might escape said inner tank. A support beneath the outer tank provides a second air space between the outer tank and the ground support surface, and a thermal insulating layer substantially envelopes the inner tank, outer tank and support from the ambient. A vapour exhaust vent is provided atop the inner tank, which may include a liquid scrubber for recovering liquids from discharging gases and returning the liquids to the inner tank or elsewhere. Piping is provided for liquid communication between the inner tank and external liquid sources for filling and emptying the inner tank.Type: GrantFiled: February 10, 1997Date of Patent: October 26, 1999Assignee: TankSafe Inc.Inventors: Reinhard Schuetz, Ernest Jacobson, Roger Charest
