  • Patent number: 11958081
Abstract: Sorting device and method for sorting objects. The device includes a chute on which objects are movable in a conveying direction by an acting gravitational force. The chute has a cutout measuring area and a LIBS laser is positioned adjacent the cutout for spectroscopic measurement of objects moving through the cutout. A discharger for sorting out a first fraction of objects is provided along a discharge direction and below the chute and/or an imaginary extension of the chute. A control device is provided for controlling the discharger depending on measurement results of the LIBS laser. A further discharger is provided for sorting out a second fraction of objects along a further discharge direction. The further discharger is arranged above the chute and/or the imaginary extension of the chute and the control device controls the further discharger depending on the measurement results of the LIBS laser.

  • Patent number: 11541426
Abstract: Sorting apparatus including a chute, on which objects are moved in succession by gravitational force, the chute having a cutout with a measuring region. An LIBS laser device is arranged adjacent to the cutout to carry out spectroscopic measurement on the moving objects. A separating device separates out certain objects, and a control device controls and/or adjusts the separating device as a function of the measurement results of the LIBS laser device. The chute includes at least a first portion, through which the objects can be moved first and centered normal to the conveying direction by gravitational force, and a second portion that is flat. The cutout includes the measuring region is arranged in the second portion.

  • Patent number: 10427190
Abstract: A method and a sorting plant for sorting out mineral-containing objects car plastic objects from a single layer material stream is shown. Here it is provided that objects (12) of the material stream are irradiated with stimulating light and the resulting fluorescent light is detected in the form of an image of the fluorescent points, the objects of the material stream are irradiated with object detection light outside the fluorescent light, and the transmitted light after passage between the objects or the reflected light of the objects is detected in the form of an image of the individual objects, an object is then defined as containing at least one specific mineral or one specific plastic if the fluorescent light of said object lies in a predetermined intensity range for at least one predetermined wavelength range, and the so defined objects are separated from other objects of the material stream.
