  • Patent number: 5857274
Abstract: A bucket-wheel excavator has its bucket-wheel conveyor stopped when a truck is fully loaded so that a new truck can be brought into position, the continuously-operating bucket wheel filling the bucket-wheel chute with a first store of the material. After an empty pass of the dumping conveyor, the bucket-wheel conveyor is driven at a creeping speed and a second store of the material is formed in the receiving chute of the dumping conveyor which is turned onto operate at creeping speed when the material reaches the upper belt drum of the bucket-wheel conveyor belt. Once the empty truck is in position, the belts are accelerated to maximum speed.

  • Patent number: 4776449
Abstract: A stacker with a connecting conveyor for connecting the stacker with a conveying unit includes a roller rocker which is movably attached to the connecting conveyor and can be placed on the conveying unit or on a traveling vehicle. The roller rocker is placed on the conveying unit or the traveling vehicle in such a way that the connection permits three degrees of freedom.

  • Patent number: 4693661
Abstract: A connecting elevator for serving, handling or working units which operate on mine benches of different level, comprises a supporting structure carrying a hoisting equipment and being supported, at least at its upper end for travelling on a bench, with the hoisting equipment comprising hoisting vessels running on rails and suspended from ropes whose winches are mounted on the upper end of the supporting structure.

  • Patent number: 4681205
Abstract: A displaceable inclined hoist has conveyor cars which can be moved up and down along two tracks by cable lines driven by windlasses, where the tracks together with the windlasses are located on a support construction, which is mounted in the region of its upper end around a horizontal axle on a displaceable support structure. The support construction can be pivoted in the perpendicular plane with the aid of a drive where the pair of tracks, which have different track gauges, lie one above the other in their middle region and lie in one plane in their end regions. The pairs of tracks lying one above the other, together with the support construction, have a separation distance from each other which provides clearance for the passage of the conveyor cars.

  • Patent number: 4449364
Abstract: A sluing mechanism driven by one or more electric or hydraulic motors, for excavating or bulk handling machines comprises a pivotable discharger boom mounted on a rotary support or turntable, and a coaxially pivotable superstructure carrying further equipment. The sluing drives of the two coaxially pivotable parts of the machine are connected to each other in such a way that upon pivoting the superstructure, the discharger boom does not follow this pivotal motion. The sluing drive of the discharge boom is designed as a superposed gear and connected to a drive motor for separately sluing the discharger boom. The turntable is provided with a second discharger sluing gear which is driven by a motor having a weaker characteristic than the drive motor or motors for sluing the superstructure. The characteristic of the motor driving the second discharger sluing gear may be adjustable.
