Abstract: A pigment paste forming resin having a viscosity of from about 50 to about 5,000 mPa and a solids content of from about 20 to about 40%, containing from about 20 to about 50 parts of a polyester urethane resin having an acid number of from about 10 to about 50, with from about 70 to about 100% of the acid groups being neutralized, the resin being prepared by the reaction of (a) one or more polyester polyols that do not contain any carboxyl groups, having an OH number of from about 35 to about 200, and a number average molecular weight of from about 500 to about 5000, mixed with from about 2 to about 30 wt. % based on the polyester polyol of one or more low molecular weight diols having a molecular weight of from about 60 to about 350, whereby a part of the low molecular weight diol contains at least one acid group capable of forming an anion, and with 0 to about 6 wt.

Abstract: This invention relates to an aqueous coating composition based on epoxy resins for coating plastic substrates. It contains7.5 to 25 wt. % of one or more epoxy resins1.5 to 10 wt. % of one or more water-miscible polyamines0 to 10 wt. % of one or more chlorinated and/or non-chlorinated polyolefins1 to 35 wt. % of electrically conductive pigments and/or extenders5 to 25 wt. % of one or more organic solvents and35 to 60 wt. % of waterwherein the sum of the above-stated constituents amounts to 100 wt. % and the coating composition additionally contains conventional lacquer additives, pigments and/or extenders and optionally further binders.

Abstract: Aqueous emulsion of one or more water dilutable epoxide resins, containing10 to 70 wt % of one or more epoxide resins5 to 50 wt % of one or more organic solvents having a boiling point of 100.degree. to 160.degree. C.,10 to 70 wt % of water,and one or more chlorinated polyolefines in a weight ratio of epoxide resins:chlorinated polyolefine of 10:0.5 to 10:4.5, percentages by weight relating in each case to the total aqueous emulsion.The emulsions can be used for the preparation of coating agents, especially for coating plastic substrates.

Abstract: Aqueous two-component coating agents contain 7.5 to 25 wt. % of at least one epoxide resin in the form of a dispersion, with respect to the resin solids, 1.5 to 15 wt. % of at least one water-miscible polyamine, 2 to 15 wt. % of at least one chlorinated polyolefin with a degree of chlorination of 15 to 40 wt. %, 0 to less than 5 wt. % of one or more organic solvents, 35 to 85 wt. % of water, and conventional lacquer additives, pigments and fillers. The coating agents are suitable for use in processes for coating plastic substrates, in particular polyolefin substrates.
