  • Publication number: 20100064065
Abstract: A connection device can be used for the connection of a plurality of peripheral devices to at least one host adapter. Each of the plurality of peripheral devices, as well as the host adapter, complies with a first and/or second data transmission protocol. A first or a second operating mode of the connection device is selected during an initialization phase.

  • Patent number: 7411914
Abstract: A data ring has two or more disconnectable nodes and a monitoring device for monitoring and driving the nodes. Appliances that communicate with one another can be connected to the nodes. The data ring is distinguished by an additional node that can be connected by the monitoring device. The additional node allows a fault state to be produced deliberately in the other nodes. The deliberate production of a defined fault state in the data ring and the defined propagation of this defined fault state in concatenated data rings results in states being produced in all of the nodes which correctly initiate fault handling routines in the appliances which are connected to the nodes. The fault handling routines are provided as standard and provide the appliances at the node with knowledge of the failure of the faulty node or of the addition of a new appliance at a node.

  • Patent number: 6167662
Abstract: A method of assembling window or door frames includes the step of injecting, and partially setting, adhesive (14) in at least one intermediate space (13) between the glass (3) and the frame sections (1) whereby the gears and frame section are adhesively bonded. The frame section (1) has at least one intake channel (1) for adhesive (14) extending through it and connecting the intermediate space (13) for the adhesive (14) to the outside of the frame section, and the adhesive is injected therethrough.

  • Patent number: 5768942
Abstract: Drive device for a part of a motor vehicle which can be moved between end positions, with an electric motor which is joined via a reducing gear to a driving pinion which sits on a driven shaft, and which for its part is drive-connected to the displaceable part, and with an electrical circuit which has switching means and which controls the motor for shutting off the motor in a predetermined position of the displaceable part. The reducing gear and electrical circuit are accommodated in separate housing parts which are detachably joined to one another to enable flexible matching to different circuit layouts. The gear housing part is produced as a metal die casting and the electric housing part as an injection molded plastic part.

  • Patent number: 5673590
Abstract: A drive device for a part of a motor vehicle which can be moved between end positions, especially for a movable cover of a vehicle roof, with an electric motor which is joined via a reducing gear to a driving pinion which sits on a driven shaft that is drive-connected to the movable part, and with a switching means which controls the motor for shutting off the motor in at least one predetermined position of the movable part which is actuated by a ratchet wheel which is caused to rotate less than 360.degree.

  • Patent number: 5181891
Abstract: Drive device for a vehicle part that is displaceable between end positions, with an electric motor connected by a reduction gear to a driving pinion which is connected to the vehicle part so as to drive it, as well as with a switching device for controlling the motor to stop the motor in at least one predetermined position of the vehicle part. To actuate the switching device there is a switch wheel which, during displacement of the vehicle part between its end positions, is rotated less than 360.degree. by an eccentric gear train. The eccentric gear train has an external gear with an internal toothing coaxial to a common shaft of the reduction gear and the eccentric gear train, an eccentric disk that is connected to the common shaft in a manner precluding relative rotation between the eccentric disk, and an internal gear with an external toothing that meshes with the internal toothing of the external gear.

  • Patent number: 4543943
Abstract: A heater fired with liquid fuel, especially a vehicle heater, utilizing a liquid heat transfer medium. The heater comprises a tubular combustion chamber and a heat exchanger mounted over the combustion chamber. The heat exchanger deflects exhaust gas leaving the combustion chamber in an axial direction. An annular space, which conducts the hot exhaust gas, is left between the heat exchanger and the combustion chamber. The heat exchanger is provided with ribs on its inner lining which project into the annular space. These ribs are aligned essentially radially and parallel to a central longitudinal axis of the combustion chamber and the heat exchanger. To improve the efficiency of the heat exchanger, at least a portion of the ribs are provided with an exhaust vorticizing arrangement along at least a portion of their length.
