  • Patent number: 6840587
Abstract: For determining a reference speed which is approximated to the actual vehicle speed, at least two wheel sensors are provided for each wheel speed to be measured. All existing wheel sensors are analyzed, and only one is selected and used for determining the reference speed as a function of the actual driving condition and of at least one defined speed criterion. At least one sensor is always available for controlling each wheel, even if one sensor is faulty.

  • Patent number: 6773233
Abstract: A process of manufacturing a component for a hydrodynamic machine in which the component comprises a base body (16) and a plurality of blades (8) which are to be installed on the base body (16). The process comprises the steps of installing the plurality of blades (8) on the base body (16) by a shaped fitted connection with the base body (16) by applying continuous pressure against the base body (16) and using a prefabricated torus as the base body (16). The prefabricated torus is pressed by a pressure roller (20) against the plurality of blades (8) while holding the plurality of blades (8) in a device (4) against the pressure of the pressure roller (20). A component for a hydrodynamic machine, comprising a base body (16) and a plurality blades (8) installed by the inventive process, is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20040041465
Abstract: The general principle underlying the invention is a braking system that is provided with an arithmetic unit with at least two independent channels for determining the reference speeds approximated to the actual vehicle speed. The at least two determined reference speeds are used only for regulating a part of the brakes installed in the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20040036351
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and to a system for monitoring the effectiveness of rail vehicle braking systems and, in response to certain criteria, initiating one or more of a safety braking and a switching-off of a brake-force-limiting or brake-force-reducing device of the braking system when a defined desired slip is not reached.

  • Publication number: 20030194317
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing components with a blade mounting in hydrodynamic machines and to components produced according to this method, comprising a base body (16) and a number of blades (8) to be connected to said base body (16). The blades (8) are connected to the base body (16) with a positive fit by a constantly rotating pressure roller (20), with contact pressure also being constantly exerted on the base body (16).

  • Patent number: 4106796
Abstract: A connector for a low-temperature-fluid duct comprises male and female connector members which interfit and, like the duct portions to which they are connected, have respective coaxial nested pipes including a first pipe forming a central flow passage for the deep-cooled medium, a second pipe defining with the first pipe a flow passage for a mixture of liquid and gaseous phases of this medium, a third pipe defining with the second pipe an inner vacuum chamber, a fourth pipe defining with the third pipe another flow passage for the medium, usually in a gaseous state, a fifth pipe defining with the fourth pipe an outer vacuum chamber, etc. According to the invention, the vacuum chambers of each connector member are sealed at the ends of the respective pipes and overlap the interfitting parts of the respective flow passages.
