  • Patent number: 5738364
Abstract: A ski binding in which a heel part can be adjusted in the longitudinal direction relative to a guide fixed to a ski and can be actuated by hand. In order to prevent the connecting web of the opening lever disengaging from the locking plate s well as involuntary unlatching of the heel part due to external influences, the invention provides that the connecting web of the opening lever is designed in a U-shaped manner, and that the connecting web, bent in the direction of the upper side of the ski, forms protecting web which terminates flush with the guide fixed to a ski. A restoring lug assists the function of the spring, which acts on the locking piece, the restoring lug being actuable, by way of an edge of the connecting web, by pulling on the opening lever and being formed by being bent out of the locking plate.

  • Patent number: 5732968
Abstract: A longitudinal-adjusting device (1) for a ski-binding part (7) consists of a guide rail (2) fastened on a ski (3), on which an adjusting plate (5) is guided movably and lockably, which adjusting plate carries the ski-binding part (7). A locking part (10) is supported movably transversely with respect to the longitudinal direction of the ski in the adjusting plate (5), which locking part has locking teeth (12) on the underside, which teeth engage locking teeth (13) on the upper side of the guide rail (2). The locking part (10) is loaded by a spring (15) and has an operating member (18) with two surfaces (22, 23), which rest on a lateral section (21) of the adjusting plate (5).

  • Patent number: 5529331
Abstract: A front jaw for a safety binding comprising a lower part (3) of a housing, which lower part can be fastened to a ski, and an upper part (2) of a housing having at least one adjustable release spring (4) and two pivotal sole holders (14a, 14b) biassed by this release spring, with the upper part (2) of the housing being pivotal in the position of use of the front jaw about a transverse axis (Q) extending essentially normally with respect to the central longitudinal axis (L) of the front jaw, and the swivelling capability of the upper part of the housing relative to the lower part of the housing being limited by a locking piece (15, 115) having at least one stop surface (32a.sub.1, 32b.sub.1, 32a.sub.2, 32b.sub.2, 32a.sub.3, 32b.sub.3, 32a.sub.4, 32b.sub.

  • Patent number: 5273306
Abstract: The invention relates to a front jaw (1) comprising a housing (2), in which is housed a release spring (40). The spring loads a pull rod (10) extending through it, which pull rod acts through a release plate (13) onto the shorter lever arms (36) of two toggle levers (35) which are pivotal about vertical axes (34) on a support part (20), and the longer lever arms of which are designed as sole holders (37). The support part (20) has an opening (21) for the pull rod (10) and has a front support surface (23) which partly rests on a rear crosswall (3) of the housing (2).

  • Patent number: 5273305
Abstract: A ski and ski-binding combination. The ski has several holes for receiving therein fastening screws for the selective fastening of ski-binding elements arranged in the ski in the binding-installation area. The holes are covered, however, are marked to the outside by markings. The arrangement of holes for the ski-binding elements is adjusted to the length of the ski and chosen such that the ski bindings are suited to receive only a limited number of successive ski-boot sizes.
