Abstract: The present invention relates to a disinfection system, arrangement comprising at least two sequentially arranged disinfection systems and containers comprising various chambers usable for the disinfection system. In particular, the present invention relates to a disinfection system comprising at least one chamber adapted for containing at least one first chamber adapted to contain disinfectant and at least one second chamber adapted to contain at least one swab and/or sponge, said at least one swab and/or sponge and additional separated space for taking up the disinfectant. The system is designed such that a predetermined amount of disinfectant is brought into contact with the at least one swab and/or one sponge immediately before use.
