  • Patent number: 4734918
Abstract: A luminous band display device is shown for the thermometer scale-like diay of the position of a control, e.g., of a turning knob or slide, having a series of luminous segments arranged in a circular or straight pattern. The luminous segments are formed by the ends of light guides which are led out from a generally cylindrical luminous center in a star-shaped or similar pattern. The luminous center consists of a cylindrical socket receiving a light source, and a cover which carries at least one color band and which can be rotated relative to the socket by means of the control is located between the light source and the beginning of the light guide. The light guides are arranged over approximately three fourths of the circumference of the luminous center. In order for all luminous segments of the entire display scale to light in only one color even in the stop positions of the control, an outlet opening and a guide for the color bands projecting from the socket are provided.

  • Patent number: 4646206
Abstract: The invention pertains to a control unit, especially for setting heating, oling and/or ventilation systems in motor vehicles. Sliding members are guided between two end positions in an oblong body. Setting members, e.g., louvers or motors, are adjusted by means of these sliding members via transmission means. A step-down unit is provided as the transmission means, which consists of a first toothed rack molded onto the sliding member and of a second toothed rack molded onto the body, and a gear which is mounted rotatably between the two toothed racks and moved when the sliding member is moved. The gear is connected to an adjusting means, e.g., a rod, which in turn operates the setting member.

  • Patent number: 4368441
Abstract: A key assembly for receivers for communication systems, especially radio television receivers, comprises a casing, keys adapted for mutual release by means of a spring-loaded locking plate for switching in storable, selectively adjustable electrical values of channel memories consisting of a plurality of voltage dividers for variable capacitance diode tuning, rotary and slidable press buttons associated with the respective keys for channel tuning and optionally for selecting a frequency range, which is adjustable in a preferably pressed position of the rotary press button being different from the tuning position by turning into various locking angular positions, as well as a channel and frequency range indicator scale. According to the invention said indicator scale simultaneously is the locking plate for the keys.
