  • Publication number: 20200306503
Abstract: A probe device serves for insertion into a body of a patient. The probe device has a suction conduit between a distal suction feed port and a proximal suction attachment port for the attachment of a vacuum source. Moreover, the probe device has a feed conduit between a proximal feed attachment port, for the attachment of a feed source, and the distal suction feed port. This results in a probe device and a tube/connector assembly, which can be a component thereof, of which the versatility is improved in particular in the area of a medical application or an application in which biocompatibility is important.

  • Patent number: 8603065
Abstract: The invention provides a catheter system comprising a stomach probe for gastric decompression or drainage of stomach fluids, and a jejunal probe for nutriment supply during enteral feeding. The stomach probe comprises a drainage tube to be inserted into the stomach of a patient, the drainage tube having proximal and distal ends and defining a lumen for receiving and for guiding insertion of the jejunal probe into the small intestine of the patient. The jejunal probe is sized and adapted to be received within the lumen of the stomach probe for guided insertion to the small intestine. The catheter system further comprises support means for supporting the jejunal probe within the lumen of the stomach probe such that the feeding tube maintains a spaced relation to an inner wall surface of the lumen of the drainage tube.

  • Patent number: 7892209
Abstract: To provide an access route which is leaktight and at the same time permits mobility and exact positioning of an instillation catheter (6), an arrangement comprising an instillation catheter (6) and a connector piece (1) for attachment to a tracheal or endotracheal tube is proposed. The connector piece (1) has a distal end (1a) for attachment to the tube, and a proximal end (1b) for attachment to a ventilation and/or suction device and comprises a branch (5) which serves for insertion of the catheter (6) and in which a valve (2) is arranged. The valve (2) is made, at least in some areas, from an elastically deformable material and can be opened by insertion of the catheter (6). The valve further comprises a proximal through-opening (21) whose inner wall has a means allowing sealing against axial flow of fluid between catheter (6) and inner wall, and, in the distal direction from the through-opening, it has a beak section (22) which, at its beak tip (23), has a normally closed slit (24).

  • Patent number: 7060050
Abstract: A balloon-button system or a catheter for performing percutaneous enteral feeding includes a holding part, which can be placed on the abdominal wall, and a probe tube, which extends from the holding part while being connected thereto and via which the nourishment that is inserted through a connecting part situated in the holding part can be introduced into the stomach lumen. A distal end of the probe tube is turned inside out and pulled back over the probe tube and joined in a fluid tight manner to form a single-piece probe tube having an inner and an outer tube portion wherein the outer tube is expandable to form a balloon by introducing a fluid. This system is characterized in that the probe tube surrounds a protective tube, and the protective tube has a higher Shore A hardness than the probe tube.
