    Abstract: A method for generating triggering signals for passive safety devices of a motor vehicle. According to the method, from sensor signals, it is ascertained whether either an oversteering driving condition or an understeering driving condition exists and at least one triggering signal for a passive safety device is generated as a function of the ascertained driving condition. The at least one triggering signal is ascertained from the sensor signals by a method based on fuzzy logic.
