Publication number: 20130028811Abstract: The application relates to taking a sample of liquid contained in a flexible closed container. The problem to be resolved relates to piercing the wall of the container with a non-cutting piece, whilst obtaining a precise and clean opening for accessing the liquid and preventing any unintended flow or spill of liquid. A device for taking a sample of liquid contained in a flexible bag comprises a first section having a base surface and a film perforating element protruding from the base surface. The device also includes a second section having a base surface surrounding a cavity, adapted for receiving the film perforating element of the first section. The first section has an adhesive surface surrounding the film perforating element, and the second section has an adhesive surface surrounding the cavity. Furthermore, one of the two sections has an opening in the base surface, inside of the adhesive surface.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 1, 2011Publication date: January 31, 2013Applicant: B. Publication number: 20130023847Abstract: When taking a sample of liquid contained in a flexible closed container, a problem to be resolved relates to piercing the wall of the container with a non-cutting piece, whilst obtaining a precise and clean opening for accessing the liquid and preventing any unintended flow or spill of liquid. This problem is resolved by a flexible bag for liquid, particularly a urine or blood bag containing a device for taking a sample of liquid from said flexible bag. The sampling device has a circular opening, arranged so that this opening is accessible from a first side of the device. The device also has a support structure on its other side, said support structure with at least one support element, whose function is to distribute forces, and which is positioned at a distance from the plane of said opening.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 1, 2011Publication date: January 24, 2013Applicant: B. Publication number: 20120296272Abstract: The invention relates to a catheter for transanal irrigation comprising a distal section (1) sufficiently rigid to be introduced into the rectum of a patient and provided with a rounded tip (3), a proximal section (2) intended to be connected to a source of irrigation liquid and a conduit channel (5) for irrigation liquid, opening out through at least one opening (6) close to the distal tip (3) of the distal section (1). The catheter is characterised in that the distal section (1) of the catheter is provided with an inflatable distal balloon (7) and an inflatable proximal balloon (8) intended to be positioned inside the rectum. The catheter is provided, moreover, on its distal section (1), close to the junction with the proximal section, with a mark that makes it easy to introduce the catheter and indicates to the patient the maximal extent of introduction of the catheter into the rectum.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 31, 2010Publication date: November 22, 2012Applicant: B. Patent number: 7823722Abstract: A packed intraluminal probe comprises a tube provided with a hydrophilic coating and having a proximal holding end connected to a nozzle. The nozzle has a canal communicating with the tube and an orifice. The probe is entirely arranged in a flexible, transparent and hermetic package. The probe comprises a removable stopper which closes the orifice. The package is fixed to the nozzle in a hermetic manner such that the nozzle defines two hermetic chambers which communicate only by means of the lumen of the tube and the canal in the nozzle. A first chamber contains a wetting fluid for the coating of the tube, but a second chamber does not contain any wetting fluid.Type: GrantFiled: March 26, 2008Date of Patent: November 2, 2010Assignee: B. Braun Medical SASInventors: Pascal Bezou, Remi Collin

Publication number: 20080228027Abstract: The invention concerns a device for preventing female stress incontinence designed to be arranged in the vagina, comprising a proximal part (12) extending between a free end and a second end, configured to be undeformable under pressure and to be placed in the suburethral region of the vagina, and a distal part (14) extending the second end of the proximal part (12), made of a material reversibly deformable under pressure, and designed to be placed in the subvesical region of the vagina. The invention is characterized in that the distal part (14) delimits a closed outline which receives the weight of the bladder and transforms same into an ascending force acting on the urethra.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 13, 2006Publication date: September 18, 2008Inventors: Bernard Guerquin, Remi Collin

Publication number: 20010016718Abstract: The urine measuring device comprises at the lower end of a drip chamber (15) an antireflux valve which prevents liquid from a measuring chamber (11) from refluxing into the drip chamber (15). A valve plate (30) capable of closing the valve opening (26) comprises a loose part which is loosely arranged in the valve chamber (34) and rests on a bracket (28) when the urine measuring device is in upright position. If the urine measuring device is tilted, the urine contained in the measuring chamber (11) presses the valve plate (30) against the valve seat (27) so that reflux into the drip chamber (15) is prevented.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 3, 1999Publication date: August 23, 2001Inventors: KARL-FRIEDRICH VOGES, MARTIN SIPPEL, REMI COLLIN

Patent number: 6129684Abstract: The urine measuring device comprises a holder (25) to be attached to the bed, which is provided with a measuring container (10) and a collecting bag (33). The measuring container (10) includes an overflow connection (22) which forms, together with the connecting tube (23) of the holder (25), a tube coupling (40). For emptying purposes the measuring container (10) can be swung up about the axis of the tube coupling (40). The urine is then discharged from the measuring container through the overflow connection (22) and the connecting tube (23) of the holder (25) into the collecting bag (33). Subsequently the empty measuring container (10) merely needs to be swung back into its position of use. This facilitates emptying of the measuring container since the container needs not be removed and attached again.Type: GrantFiled: September 1, 1999Date of Patent: October 10, 2000Assignee: B.
