  • Patent number: 9849232
Abstract: A fluid flow manager executing on first hardware controls a flow of fluid outputted from a fluid delivery pump to a recipient. A monitor resource, executing on second hardware operating independently of the first hardware, monitors for an occurrence of a failure condition associated with the delivery of fluid. In response to detecting occurrence of a failure condition associated with delivery of the fluid, the monitor resource generates a control output. The control output can be used to perform operations such as discontinue delivery of the fluid, notify a respective caregiver of the delivery failure, etc.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 24, 2014
Date of Patent: December 26, 2017
    Assignee: Invenix, Inc.

  • Publication number: 20030145333
Abstract: A system for selling digital video information over a communications network such as the Internet basically includes a filtering server and a service administration system. The filtering server includes a commerce server, a streaming server and a world-wide web information server. The world-wide web information server provides customers with a list of available videos, the possibility to customize specific versions and a method for calculating the price for a specific version. The service administration system includes a management tool for the merchant to define price classes and payment schemes and a meta-data editing tool for the merchant to prepare the content for the filtering. The system will connect to external systems to have the payment information verified. If the payment transaction is accepted the system will pass the selected video through a sequence of service filters to generate the edition that the customer selected.

  • Publication number: 20020067855
Abstract: An arrangement and method is set out which records a digitised image of a figure with the figure preferably comprising a black disk, which is surrounded by an arrangement of radial line segments. The method extracts edge points from the recorded image and performs a transform on the edge points to obtain a center of the figure. Then, a diameter of the disk is obtained to calculate the conversion factor, which represents the distance between the camera and the figure. The line segments may further comprise at least one bar code defining encoded information. The method provides a reliable calibration even under cluttered background conditions.

  • Patent number: 6101274
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for the identification and interpretation of text captions in an encoded video stream of digital video signals comprises sampling by selecting frames for video analysis, decoding by converting each of frames selected into a digitized color image, performing edge detection for generating a grey scale image, binarizing by converting the grey scale image into a bi-level image by means of a thresholding operation, compressing groups of consecutive pixel values in the binary image, mapping the consecutive pixel values into a binary value, and separating groups of connected pixels and determining whether they are likely to be part of a text region in the image or not.

  • Patent number: 5574845
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for use by a viewer for the management of video data in a stored video stream, the video stream including a plurality of video shots wherein each shot comprises a sequence of frames, the comprises defining and storing in memory on a frame-sequence axis a time-based model of the video stream; defining and storing in memory on the frame-sequence axis at least one of a space-based model of the video stream, an object-based model of the video stream, and an event-based model of the video stream. The method further comprises selectively scanning through such of the models as have been defined; identifying time, space, object, and/or event segments of interest in such of the models as have been defined; and selecting for viewing portions of the video stream associated with the segments of interest.

  • Patent number: 5521841
Abstract: A method for representing contents of a video sequence for allowing a user to rapidly view a video sequence in order to find a particular desired point within the sequence and/or to decide whether the contents of a video sequence are relevant to a user, the video sequence having been pre-processed to detect scene changes and to build Rframes, and for allowing a user to scroll through the Rframes and to stop at a selected Rframe for processing, comprises playing the video sequence from a point of the selected Rframe, detecting all Rframes having respective degrees of similarity to the Rframe selected by the user, and presenting the similar Rframes to the user in a size or scale representative of the degrees of similarity.
