  • Patent number: 12194064
Abstract: It is provided processes for generating a therapeutic concentrated phospholipid composition from raw krill oil containing high content of free fatty acids. Particularly it is provided a process producing a concentrated phospholipid composition comprising the steps of: fractionating a raw hill oil (RKO) containing at least 7% of free fatty acids (FFA) obtaining a fraction enriched in phospholipids and an undesired layer; and separating said fraction enriched in phospholipids from the undesired layer, producing the therapeutic concentrated phospholipid composition with a yield of at least 30%.

  • Publication number: 20250002843
Abstract: The disclosure relates to methods, products and compositions useful for the derivation of naïve bovine embryonic stem cells. ECM-coated substrates comprising a positively charged biocompatible polymer are described that allow for embryo attachment and outgrowth formation. Also provided is outgrowth medium suitable for culturing bovine embryos and deriving naive embryonic stem cells. The naïve bovine embryonic stem cells may be used for in vitro breeding programs including the multiplication of preimplantation embryos with desirable genetic characteristics, deriving primordial germ cells/gametes for in vitro breeding programs, and developing and delivering veterinary medical biologicals and therapeutics.

  • Publication number: 20220186261
Abstract: A method of generating offspring with a precharacterized genome is disclosed. In one embodiment, the method comprises the steps of (a) obtaining ungulate haploid embryonic cells, (b) deriving haploid embryonic outgrowth from the cells of step (a), (c) characterizing the genome of the haploid cells of step (b), and (d) deriving diploid embryos or offspring from the cells of step (c).

  • Publication number: 20210077539
Abstract: It is provided a process for generating enriched phospholipid compositions from raw krill oil, where such processes may be batchwise, continuous, of include both batchwise steps and continuous steps. The present technology provides high quality enriched phospholipid compositions from such methods. Moreover, the continuous process provides a significantly higher throughput compared to a batch process while concurrently providing products of equal or greater quality.

  • Publication number: 20140206572
Abstract: The present invention relates to field of fertility. The invention identifies biological ovarian markers from follicular cells, from follicular fluid, from cumulus cells and from oocytes which are indicative of follicular maturity in mammals. Described are methods for improving ovarian stimulation, methods for assessing maturity of a mammalian ovarian follicle, methods for optimizing in vitro maturation (IVM) and methods for classifying an embryo, these methods being based on assessment of expression level of ovarian markers indicative of maturity. Also described are methods for screening compounds stimulatory of or inhibitory to mammalian follicular maturation, kits for evaluating follicular maturity.
