  • Patent number: 8506145
Abstract: A method using lens imaging to control hotspots of a vehicle light has steps of providing the area light source having a first shape and a first size, mounting the lens in front of the area light source, choosing a focal length between the area light source and the lens, and determining an angle of view ? using the first size of the area light source and the focal length of the lens and generating a hotspot of the vehicle light having the first size and a size range. By changing the height of the area light source and the focal length of the lens, an angle of view formed by light emitted from the area light source and passing through the lens is adjustable. Accordingly, a range of hotspots of the vehicle light is controllable.

  • Patent number: 8319441
Abstract: A road lamp dimming control device comprises a signal processor, a power supplier, a driver and a light emitting module. The single processor is used for receiving an inputted electric current and a control signal. The control signal is decoded into a dimming control signal that then is transmitted to the power supplier. The power supplier converts the inputted electric current into constant current based upon the dimming control signal. The driver receives the constant current to drive the light emitting module to allow the light emitting module having different brightness based upon the control signal, thereby performing multi-stage variation.

  • Patent number: 7677782
Abstract: An LED flat lamp including a housing with a light-emitting area at the bottom thereof. The internal side thereof undergoes a reflexion treatment. At least one LED is disposed within the housing. A power connector is extended from the LED to the outside. The LED is installed on a circuit board. A light guide plate is installed at one side of the LED within the housing. The light exit side of the light guide plate is provided with a microstructure for a uniform light exit. Moreover, an optical film unit is attached to the bottom of the light guide plate such that the light-emitting area of the housing is covered with the optical film unit. The optical film unit consists of one or several brightness enhancement films and one or several diffusers. In this way, the problem of glaring light directly emitted by the prior art is resolved. The LED flat lamp in accordance with the invention can emit a non-glaring light and can be modularized into a standardized product.

  • Patent number: 6966652
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and an apparatus for adjusting a cooling period according to a current condition of a system. The system includes an electronic device and a cooling device. The system has a predetermined temperature value Tp and a first temperature value T1. In the present invention, a second temperature value T2 is detected. Then, a temperature difference X is obtained by subtracting the second temperature value T2 from the first temperature value T1. The present invention compares the temperature difference X with the predetermined temperature value Tp. When the temperature difference X is greater than the predetermined temperature value Tp, the present invention stops the cooling operation. Otherwise, the present invention calculates a cooling time period K based on the temperature difference X, and proceeds with cooling for cooling time period K.

  • Patent number: 6873929
Abstract: A heat dissipation system used in an electronic device includes a casing, an inlet, an outlet, two thermal sensors, at least one fan, and a microprocessor. The fan is disposed in the casing and configured to guide airflow into the casing through the inlet and out of the casing through the outlet. The two thermal sensors are disposed in the casing and respectively located near the inlet and the outlet to measure a first temperature and a second temperature. The microprocessor has at least one relation table, which is a function of ratio of the second temperature to the first temperature, between the first temperature and speed of the fan. The microprocessor selects one relation table in accordance with the ratio of the second temperature value to the first temperature value to control the speed of the first fan according to the first temperature.

  • Patent number: 6779895
Abstract: A cooling system for an electronic apparatus is provided. The electronic apparatus includes a housing and a fan. The housing has an outlet, a stopper fixed on the housing, and an opening next to the stopper. The fan generates a first air flow flowing to the outlet. The stopper retards a portion of the first air flow flowing to the outlet. A second air flow flows into the housing through the opening and mixes with the first air flow to cool the temperature of the first air flow.
